ChiKat, how goes the job search?
For those playing at home, the job hunt has successfully concluded!
I had an interview with job #4 this morning and got wiggly ickies about it. While the job itself would be terrific, working conditions are severely less than ideal.
I made a spreadsheet of pros and cons of each, talked it out with some friends and I ended up taking my 1st choice and will start on Aug. 20th! I'll be teaching drama in a middle school. 2 classes each of 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade.
Robin, I believe you taught that before, yes? If so, I'd love some ideas and words of wisdom.
I'm very excited and think it'll be a great fit for me.
Woo for decision-making!
ChiKat, wish I could have seen you again when I was in Chicago! Too bad you were busy.
I missed you, too! I was in class. Boo. I'd have much rather hung out with you and eaten pizza.
Yay ChiKat! Does that feel like a big load off your shoulders, or what?
Does that feel like a big load off your shoulders, or what?
Seriously, it really does.
I now have a small load of needing some kind of work for the summer. I have feelers out, but it's hard when I know I can only work through mid-August and I can't work on Tues or Thurs. I have some money, just not much and I'm not sure I can make it till my 1st paycheck at the end of August.
Last night, I was hacking up a lung and was hacking up pink stuff. I freaked thinking I was coughing up blood. Then I remembered I had just eaten a red velvet cupcake.
Heehee.
I laugh in empathy. No, really. Sooo something I would do.
Sorry for the attack. I have those allergy leads to coughing fit leads to asthma things every so often and they're no fun. But hey, at least there was cupcakes, right?

Woot! Yay for employed-ness! Sounds like a lot of fun. Break a leg!
eta Temp-ma!
Dang Laura. I'm really sorry to hear that. Much love to you and yours.
~~~ND&Kristin~~~~ (those are relaxing vibes)
ETA: Congrats ChiKat!
Epic, I laughed at myself when I realized. And, yes, the upside was cupcakes!
Congratulations, ChiKat!
For the summer job hunt, why not try a temp agency? It may be just the thing to find something that fits your schedule.
I've been hitting temp agencies. They're just not finding me things yet. Next week is trying to hit more.
