Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Only a quarter of a century ago? My mom goes back to stuff that happened as far back as the '30s.

Well TCG will be 40 in the Autumn, so she is limited to how much of his past she can bitch about. They're going out to dinner alone on Thursday. I'm dreading it because she tells him he's awful, etc, and then I have to fix it when he comes home upset.

What is even happening?

Cashmere, did you get the tattoo, or is it just in the planning stages?

I survived the bachelorette party. Spent a load of money. It was sort of low-key for that sort of thing but I think my sister was happy. We have a spa date on Thursday, manis and pedis scheduled for Friday and the rehearsal and dinner Friday night. Then the wedding on Saturday. I'm excited for her but I'll be glad when it's over.

This wedding seemed to come up so fast. Wow. I'm glad you survived the bachelorette and that your sister was happy.

I don't mind the ER being a waste. I'd much rather take them and be told they're fine, than have the visit validated. I was just annoyed that the doctor didn't even clean the wound or re-dress it. The nurse gave me about a 20th generation photo copy of instructions on how to care for a laceration. Of course this is a puncture wound. It's okay. It gives me fodder for teasing my cousin the nurse, and my mother the grandmother.

Ugh. I'm sorry, sj.

That's awful, Cindy. I would have thought they would be more careful with a child.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Happy Birthday Cass!! It sounds like it had a good start, what with tookies and all. I hope it ends well too!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Matricides are(usually) relationship killers. Of course, hindsight is always 20-20, right?
In hindsight? I think my exDH wishes I had. Or he had. Or a random stranger.

...

Not a close family.

My coworker and I will be in Portland Monday through Thursday nights, and we need nice places to eat dinner! We'll be on an expense account, though not a *huge* one (no shrift-ian Charlie Trotter dinners, but generally cost is not a worry). So, dinner suggestions?
bluehour, definitely. Ignore the annoying website. It's really wonderful. They have a happy hour menu that is just ... wow ... I take people there *a lot*.

Typhoon is great Thai. They make a crab pad thai (a special, but a pretty consistent one) that is one of my favoritest things ever.

Mother's Bistro is really lovely. And makes an amazing breakfast, too.

Downtown is just full of really good restaurants and you are in the middle of it, so you almost can't get a bad meal.

Also, you are in easy walking distance of Powell's.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I did not skim. I skipped like a crazy to say thank you, Burrell! I had not seen the recall notice and we just recently got 4 of those cars for Aidan.

And since I'm here:

Jess, DZ is absolutely beautiful and I love his name. Congratulations to you and E on such superb baby-making skills.

Cass! Many happy returns of the day!

{{Fred-Pete}} I'm very sorry about Teddy. He's lucky to have you and Hubs.

Connie, (belated) congratulations on another year of wedded bliss.

If I missed anything, I'm very sorry. I've been kind of busy lately. I do skim when I can and vibe like crazy for everyone.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Cass!

Guess what Emmett got me for Father's Day? He hit his first home run. We're not talking a triple-with-overthrow or inside-the-park job. This was a 210 foot fence clearing blast that bounced off the ass of a lady watching a game on the other field.

So the Eagles go to the semifinals tomorrow in Concord.

ION, I'm getting a sore throat.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wow. Home run, with bonus ass-bounceage!

Our wings are not tired.

Guess what Emmett got me for Father's Day?

Wooooooooooooooot! That is very cool. Go Emmett!
