Blessed, blessed IUD and the no period thing!! I don't freak out about pregnancy scares because I think I'd know the early signs by now.
Heh. Well, see, when one decides to taper down one's Zoloft dose, the most common side effects are: (1) nausea, (2) dizziness, and (3) mood swings.
And I started tapering down my Zoloft 2 weeks ago, so you can imagine my happyfun paranoia.
Blessed, blessed IUD and the no period thing!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner.
How do you deal with your ample bosom in that situation?
I usually do it without a bra and just shunt them to either side of the knee.
I am going to see Nanci Griffith tonight at the botanical gardens. I have been pretty lucky with the weather on most outdoor concerts, but with Nanci Griffith, it's always raining or threatening to rain, and today is no exception. Or I fall in the koi pond. Anyway, this is what the garden says now about chairs:
Any patron sitting in a chair with legs that are taller than a basketball, or with a seat-back that is higher than one's shoulder-blades, will be asked to move to the side of the lawn so as to not obstruct anyone's view.
WTF? Amazingly enough, I don't keep a basketball around for measurement purposes. The seat of the more comfortable of my portable chairs is roughly 14 inches off the ground. The internets tell me that a standard basketball has a 9" diameter.
my happyfun paranoia.
Good times! You could construct a Ren-and-Stimpy-style cartoon around Happyfun Paranoia, maybe? Seriously, that must suck, and I'm sorry.
In continuing motorcycle news, I think I may be able to buy a helmet tonight instead of running around tomorrow morning before riding lessons. Which, awesome. Unfortunately, I'm dressed for the heat and for javachik's birthday dinner (whee!), which means tight tank top, velvet jacket, shortish skirt with a slit, and my very favoritest Steve Madden high heeled sandals (all black, of course). So very inappropriate for riding, and therefore I feel weird even walking into a shop. I'll get over it, but still. Eeeek!
I do know there's no Instant Gestate.
I kinda think that's a blessing, if it keeps the idiot population down. Maybe we could have a Buffista Instant Gestate?
sj, I giggled at TCG's coffee mishap. Sorry!
Don't be sorry. It's funny. It will be even funnier when TCG finds out how much it costs to replace the tea kettle.
Hey, new baby!! Congrats, Jess and Ethan and hello, little D.Z.!
I like parenting stuff. It keeps me informed, and I like keeping my title of Font of All Things Knowledge.
I will admit, though, that there are times that I want to start a little club of the non-married, non-sprogged 'istas, just to get together once a month and say, "Everyone else still single and not-pregnant? Not just me? Okay."
Yeah, this here. I don't want kids. I like kids, but I like OPK's mostly, and I do not want to be a single parent -- parenting is a freaking hard job, and I think I'm a little too selfish. I think I'd be a good parent, but I don't want to be. I' m almost 35, and I'm still learning how to take care of me.
I am one of TWO single girls left in my circle of friends. 2 have children, one is pregnant, one is trying, and the other will be trying in about a year. I love my friends and their children are awesome...but I miss my single, crazy girlfriends, you know? They're still loads of crazy fun....but it's a different fun when most everyone is married, and you're not. And they're always trying to hook you up, with ANY single guy. Well, not any, but sometimes it feels like it.
I stayed up till 6 a.m. reading, and you KNOW this was the morning I had 5 phone calls before noon. Summer school starts on Monday and I am trying to get my slothful vaca reading/DVDing in before then.
Juliana, I go to bike shops with my DH looking like the regular-sort of 50-year-old person I am, and I always get loads of friendly "hey, a girl!" attention from the fellas. In your HAWTT case, the staff will be THRILLED to see you and will fall all over themselves to assist you.
Aw, Robin, thank you. The shop does have a rep for friendly staff - I'm just very much a proponent of Dressing Appropriately (even when it means Dressing Inappropriately).

I know this feeling. I also got the "everyone else is buying a house, I should too!" feeling every once in a while.
