Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I like the kid talk in Bitches. Now to coffee.

Sad now. My Johnny Cupcakes t-shirt with cupcake and cross-bones is now too small. I think I wear it anyway and have another boobtastic day!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Sorry I didn't answer about Teddy last night, but I just did a drive-by. And I skimmed through the overnights while Hubs and I were on the phone with the vet (because I've been working frantically this week to prepare Boss for Major Meeting with Major Mucky-Mucks, which is going on even as we speak).

Long-term, Teddy's prognosis is not good. Tomorrow we're going to visit the pet cemeteries in the area to get ready. Barring a miracle, we're probably talking months at best.

He had a very bad day Wednesday, becoming very listless and not eating. So yesterday morning, we took him to the vet for in-patient IV fluids. He was very lively when we visited him last night, and he was demanding to be taken home. He ate a little, but not much. But he was drinking water like it was going out of style. He ended up vomiting, we suspect because he drank too much too fast.

A few minutes ago, the vet told us that the numbers on his bloodwork were about the same, but it often takes a couple of days for IV fluids to really work. So he's staying another night, and the current plan is to pick him up tomorrow afternoon. I've arranged to leave work early today (as long as Mucky-Muck Meeting doesn't require me to work frantically this afternoon) to visit him, and we'll visit again after Hubs finishes work.

To complicate all this, Hubs will be out of town all next week on business.

Yes, it's been a perfect storm of stress this week.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{{Fred Pete}}}I'm sorry for all the stress. Teddy is so lucky that you and Hubs have taken such good care of him all this time and continue to look out for him.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm so sorry, Fred Pete.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Poor sick kitties!

Today is my short day at work and so far, I've only managed to return phone calls and make myself disproportionally angry at some clients.

Thank god today is an early day and (though I love her) boss is out of town so no staff meeting.

I'm so sorry, Fred. Teddy is one loved kitty.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting fluids into my cat lately. I don't think she's had a full dose in over a month. She is getting so skinny that it's hard to stick her. It either goes under the skin and back out the other side or goes too deep (poor kitty). I fear the end is near but I don't want to take her to the vet to find out. I figure I'll watch her and keep trying.
