"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

You didn't see those sparks fly? Or maybe it's just the BBOC factor?

Art Crawl!!!

You didn't hear Jack tell Ianto that he'd send the rest home early and to meet him in his office in (??) minutes?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I love the bit where Jack's face changes.

Also, Ianto!

Also, !!!

Then for a while I was all, "Like, what kind of things? I ask merely for information..."

It was a good thing there was canon slash, though, because the rest of this episode was so freaking difficult.

Art Crawl!!!

Oddly, I felt like Gwen seemed more like the Gwen I liked in episode one rather than the one we'd seen more recently.

I still don't like her. She does a lot of stupid shit that risks everyone.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I do have to wonder if Jack's thought process when hiring her went something like,"Wow, this is the gold medal winner of the combo poor judgement/incompetent crisis management event. Maybe if she screws up badly enough, she'll be able to get even me killed!"

I do like that his "spend more time getting to know him" strategy toward integrating Ianto into the team apparently included the Biblical sense.

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.

I'm going back through Eureka season 2, and I've hit the eighth episode, "E=MC...?" and realizing that this was the probably the beginning of the end of a decent/o.k. sophmore season.

Someone else who thinks like me! I've seen a lot of people diss the whole second season, but I think that in some ways the first half of the season was an improvement on the first season. They seemed to get the mix of quirky and occasional splashes of darkness right, people seemed more settled into the characters... and then they introduced the twerp and it all went to hell.
