A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Darin Morgan? I thought he would be, you know, either a billionaire somewhere or in a mental institution by now.
I was under the impression that, in fact, he'd been diagnosed with something pretty severe (bipolar, schizophrenia, like that), but a quick google isn't turning up anything definitive. Anyway, I think he's not a billionaire.
(Writing for television is probably among the slower ways to become a billionaire, after working at Bertucci's and advertising your putting-together-IKEA-furnitute skills on Craigslist.)
I loved PD too! It's sooo lovely and fractured fairy talesque and yeah, very, very
Big Fish.
Lee Pace is adorable!
BW - has definitely improved but is still not that good. But you guys realize that it is beloved of the Network and will never be cancelled? BELOVED. They are already talking spin off with Isaiah Washington.
Oh and I loved seeing that one guy - you know - the Wheelchair Rugby Dude from FNL. (See, stealing BSG AND FNL folks one after another.)
Pushing Daisies is my new favorite. Charm, quirk, and good acting. And I totally agree they need to dial down the narration a tad (but not eliminate it).
Pushing Daisies was a little too charming for me to love, but I did enjoy it. I suspect they'll be killing people for laughs, which always goes down well.
Lee Pace is totally who John Cusack should have grown up to be.
The only thing that bugged (and it's the littlest of quibbles as I lovedlovedloved the show) was Jim Dale's repeated use of "z years, y months, x days, w hours and v minutes." I hope they drop that going forward.
Yeah, that was my big complaint too.
I adore Pushing Daisies. New favoritest show.
Yeah, that was my big complaint too.
This is a note to past Polter-Cow: somehow, I was not as annoyed by that on the rewatch!
New favoritest show.
Definitely favoritest new show.
more importantly, it has me grinning and genuinely happy.
Amen. I've enjoyed a lot of television programs over the past season, but it feels really good to have that love at first sight feeling again. I think this is going to fill the void Wonderfalls' cancellation left in my life (or lack of same).
I cheered when Swoosie Kurtz had that line about being able to hold her breath a long time and I remembered that she'd worked as a Darling Mermaid all those years.
Ha! Nice catch, Matt. I hadn't made that connection.

It felt like the whole synchronized swimming quirk was a big setup for that one line. It worked!
