Oh, I wish those council guys would let me have an hour alone in the room with her, if I was larger and had grenades.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Context in that case being sex or aggression.

Doesn't that cover just about everything?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

(It wasn't animated, though, it was live action. Maybe it was done twice?)

No, it is just that I have the memory of a man twice my age.

There was some stop-motion animation in FLESH GORDON of the low-budget Ray Harryhausen school, but it wasn't animated per-se.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I'm thinking about watching Mind Control tonight just to see Simon Pegg. I'm still not sure why he is going to be on it. This should be filed under "random, much?"

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I remember Flesh Gordon as being fairly entertaining, but I think it's been 30 years. I remember you had to be pretty familiar with the serials to catch all the jokes.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I finally watched last night's Eureka. I liked this episode much more than last week's. Although, I still feel that Allyson has two alternate personalities. One where she's all buddy-buddy, let's be confidants with Jack and the other one that's an ice princess. I wish the writer's would either make up their minds where they want her and Carter to go or quit dicking with her characterization. I want consistency, darn it.

I loved that dream with Jo, Stark and Fargo! And the surprise that it was Jo's dream. Hee. And I loved that Jack gave her a pair of toe shoes. What a sweetie.

I'm was hoping for more payoff with the memory wipe by Henry, but I guess I'll have to wait. I'm just going to be curious to see if Jack really believed Henry or if it's going to get him thinking.

Ann, that's a ferret.

There was also a sequel to Flesh Gordon. Pretty people nekkid, adolescent-level sex jokes, and that was about it.

I read a bit about Flesh Gordon and it was originally supposed to be a hardcore film that got trimmed to a softcore when they got some decent effects work out of Dave Allen. If my memory serves correctly, it would have been better if they'd left it hardcore. The effects and sets were pretty good given the non-budget, but everything else was pretty sophmoric humor-wise and the cutting of the actual hardcore smut was jarring if you were watching the movie as a movie simply by the abrupt editing of scenes.

If I remember correctly, there are two versions out there. The hardcore and the softcore both. They would show the hardcore version on campus every now and then.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I vaguely remember it being released as an X and then being recut to get an R, but my memory is VERY hazy on the matter.
