Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Ann, that's a ferret.

There was also a sequel to Flesh Gordon. Pretty people nekkid, adolescent-level sex jokes, and that was about it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I read a bit about Flesh Gordon and it was originally supposed to be a hardcore film that got trimmed to a softcore when they got some decent effects work out of Dave Allen. If my memory serves correctly, it would have been better if they'd left it hardcore. The effects and sets were pretty good given the non-budget, but everything else was pretty sophmoric humor-wise and the cutting of the actual hardcore smut was jarring if you were watching the movie as a movie simply by the abrupt editing of scenes.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

hardcore film that got trimmed to a softcore

If I remember correctly, there are two versions out there. The hardcore and the softcore both. They would show the hardcore version on campus every now and then.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I vaguely remember it being released as an X and then being recut to get an R, but my memory is VERY hazy on the matter.

All is well that ends in pizza.

From what I have read and heard, oxygenated liquid is easier for us humans than it is for lower animals, because we have the ability to make it past the panic reflex that takes hold when you first breathe it in.

It apparently feels weird to have liquid going in and out of your lungs on purpose.

As for the dreams in the cafe, everyone there got the dreams, a number of the people who are the transmitters were in the room, so all of the transmitters dreams got mixed up in the pot.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm pretty darn sure I saw a hardcore version of Flesh Gordon. If I didn't, then what the hell was that?

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

I finally got my internet/cable turned back on but I'm now so behind in Doctor Who, Stargate, and some other shows. Can anyone email me where to ahem from?

OK, I just caught the Doctor Who Season 1 episode, Boomtown, and Doc9, Rose, and Captain Jack are so having threesomes. Nobody giggles that much together who hasn't been having tickle fights in the shower.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

They are so my OT3. 5 episodes together, and, yeah.

eta: Ten even looks a bit like Jack.

I mean, they're hardly even trying to hide it! "How come I can't get some of that!" "Buy me a drink."

I love it.
