And what's the fun in becoming an immortal demon if you're not regular, am I right?

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

SGA was on in the background. I look up and BOOM.

That was sort of what it was like even if you were paying attention.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

What with the John Woo slow motion power walk against a fireball backdrop for Carson, and "genetically programmed radiation" and EXPLODING TUMORS WTF?!?

I think Gero needs to bring enough crack for everyone to share so we can enjoy episodes like this.

What was up with the choice of pallbearers at the end? Rodney makes sense of course, and Dr. Cole, and I can see Sheppard since he spends half his time in the infirmary (plus we have seen him and Carson socializing back on earth). But Ronon? Zelenka? Lorne—whom Carson apparently doesn't know well enough to call by name rather than title? I'd have preferred to see more of the medical staff that Carson was in the trenches with every day in place of those last three, and this episode had enough other doctors and nurses to actually fill out the rest of the 6 without having the expedition's top two scientists and top two military leaders gone all at the same time.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's a little known custom, but the Wraith always respect funeral rites, and magnanimously give a grace period of a week thereafter.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

OMG DOCTOR WHO (err, 3x09)

That was incredible. I think I have a new favourite episode. Martha was awesome, and I really felt for the conflict of John Smith who wanted to remain an ordinary, simple man. And I think there was a tiny bit of the Doctor inside John Smith who wanted a normal life with a companion to grow old by his side. And Tim's speech about the Doctor being "like fire and ice and rage; like a knight and a storm at the heart of a sun, ancient and forever, burning at the center of time" was glorious and frightening and splendid, and oh, the scenes between him and Joan broke my heart. And what he did to the Family, the cold ruthless cruelty of his punishment! It was like nightmares in a nursery rhythm.

I need to rewatch and process it better, but... WOW.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

“ I think I have a new favourite episode.”

What Vonnie said.

Soon, soon I can read the whitefont.

Anticipa-a-shun.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I hear the next DW episode is written by Steven ("Empty Child'/"Doctor Dances" and also the creator of Coupling) Moffat. Wooo!

Goodness. Who 3.09:

"Why can't I stay?" DT was--well, they all were--phenomenal in this. I was really mourning for John Smith and Joan instead of being all "Hurry up! Bring the Dr. back!" I mean, don't get me wrong - happy to see him, and all, but...

I have to stay, I was heartily stung on Martha's behalf when he asked Joan to go away with him and be his companion. I mean, not that Martha knows he did it, but ouch.

And, last, the kid from Love Actually is fantastic. Love that kid .

Art Crawl!!!

TVShowson dvd says that the Dresden Files will be released on August 7th. (I could swear I already pre-ordered this -- is it possible it was up for pre-order before they announced a release date?)

Our wings are not tired.

weeps for being so far behind on DW.

I usually read all the whitefont, but I have been trying to resist until I get up to date on Who. Damn the lack of hours in the day.
