Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Wow. Over at TWOP they HATED it.
Proving they are all insane.
Seriously they hated it? Why?
Wow. Over at TWOP they HATED it.
Clearly, the YED already claimed their souls.
Yes, so much, on the wrapping up of plot arcs, and the nicely planted seeds for next season. Sense-making! It's the new black!
I can't wait to rewatch this.
You have to love yourself Dean.
Or, if not, let me do it.
I believe the line forms to the left...
Wow. Over at TWOP they HATED it.
Why? How? I just... this was actually better than I was expecting... not overwrought (I was worried a bit after the sneak preview leaked...), wrapped stuff up, started new stuff, no cliffhanger in case they didn't get renewed...
People think it was boring, predictable, that Dean had no character growth. . .
(this is the same stuff they say every week)
well...John made his "deal" with the YED. Dean killed the YED. John crawled his way out of hell. i like to think the universe let him off with "time already served" and he's now in the good place.
so glad i never go to TWoP. i seriously don't get the appeal of that place. what the hell could you not like about this episode? seriously. fandom is monkey nuts.
Apparently, some people think that season 2 needed redemption.
I can't decide whether this episode felt emotionally satisfying or a little too neat, but I'm definitely glad to have the YED arc finished. He was a great villain, but his time was up. So: next year's arcs will be Hunting Down New Demons and Saving Dean From Hell? Does the death of all those hunters at the Roadhouse mean they're dropping the Evil Sammy/Hunters Become the Hunted story that we all expected? Or, hmm, the YED did plant the suspicion in Dean's mind that Sam might have come back wrong, so maybe that'll be part of next season's story after all. Oh, right, and the Feds on their trail, too.
Hahahahahaha, to the repeat of "Carry On My Wayward Son." It is pretty much the perfect song for this show.
It was chilling to see Sam's body laid out like that. Boy sure looked pretty damn dead.
Giant Devil's Trap = totally cool. That's a great idea.
John! Aw, that was great to see him again. Kind of wish his name hadn't been in the credits, though -- it would have been cool to be surprised by his appearance. So did he go to Secular Heaven just like [memfault; Tricia Helfer's character] did? And poor Sam, only getting the Manly Nod from his dad instead of the Reassuring Shoulder Squeeze or whatever that Dean got. Think we've seen the last of John?
Dean's monologue (SPN Origins callback baby!)
Yes! That was great, nicely done.
I suspect some folks objected to the Satan ex Johnus (well, he came out of Hell so he couldn't exactly be a Deus ex, could he?) that helped delay the YED until Dean could shoot him. Me, I could care less.
Seriously they hated it? Why?
because they are stupid? or have no souls?
