Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Holy Crap, work is crappy like crap city today!

My cow-orker and I were working together making these binders we needed for a class tomorrow. She is slightly senior to me. We discovered that the copy center had shorted us 1/2 the material, so I ran over there to see if it was there. When I came back BIG! Boss (my boss', boss' boss) and her secretary were helping with the binders and my boss and I were getting in trouble for letting this woman work alone! Except, she wasn't and we were fine, if a little frazzled, except for the fact that the copy center shorted us half the copies!

Also, everyone is up my ass because I can't work overtime, because I am the only hourly employee-- but they can't understand that during the year I have a student working 12 hours a week doing actual work, so now I have to do that too!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Judd Apatow has unearthed the real reason I'm scared to have kids:

“My way of dealing with the world has always been to make fun of it and observe it but not take part in it,” Apatow told me when we first met in the fall of 2005. “That’s how I became a writer. But when you have kids, suddenly you have to be part of things. It leads almost to a breakdown because your whole defense mechanism is now really destructive.”

Damn.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I read that in bed last night, Zenkitty, and the same paragraph smacked me right in the face.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Either I've had too much caffeine or today is really weird.

Could be both.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, I just had to try to make "Sometimes it's ok to submit a pile of crap!" into a pep talk, so I'm OK with calling it weird.

I feel a bit Through The Looking Glass.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

This waking-up-at-random-times thing can stop right now. At least I went back to sleep, unlike this weekend. feh.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I liked this bit from the Apatow interview:

He finally met like-minded kids who could stay up all night talking about Monty Python. “I felt like the bumblebee girl in the Blind Melon video who finally meets other bumblebees,” Apatow told me. “I cried every time I saw that.”

Crying over the little bee girl. But a lot of Buffistas have said similar things about finding this community. I love that he's still so close with his F&G cast.

Makes me want to go back and watch my Undeclared box set, I'll tell you what!

The dang cat just ate a (teeny) piece of asparagus. I figured my veggies were safe from lardbutt! And I was feeling sorry for him and let him sit at the table. He had a small healing scratch in front of his ear. Apparently, it itched. So he tore a hugeass wound in the process of scratching it. If the neosporin doesn't help, he's gonna need a cone. I swear.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I went to the local zoo today, and saw a Bactrian camel being groomed. (I immediately thought of Aimee!) She was ridiculously calm and happy to have her heavy winter coat combed off -- it was an insanely-high pile of hair left over. The volunteer let me carry off a double handful, which I'm going to have to figure out how to wash, comb and spin!
