Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm not the best example, but I drank a lot with Mister Kitty's illness when I didn't have to care for him. I'm not endorsing it. I just got maudlin.

When Ozzie got diagnosed, I swore a lot, then after work went home and yelled at the vet (who totally deserved it, since he prescribed twice as much insulin as he should have, but then luckily forgot to call the prescription in), and then drank.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Has ABC gone off the air for anyone else?

Really weird. Several minutes of dead. And its not like my cable is out because I don't HAVE cable.

I cried a lot in the vet's office too. At one point, I think I freaked out the waiting patients. The awesome semi-goth ( she reminds me visually of the chick on NCIS) receptionist gave me a hug and walked me out when I became a blubbering idiot.

All the alcohol did was make me call my parents and cry harder. Which, well, it was probably a good thing. They're closest to me, they share the pet-cat-love thing, and I am mostly not embarrassed to cry in front of them.

Aw, man, tommy, I hope you don't go through my worst nightmares. Gonna go torment my cats now.

OK, since you people already know I'm a dork... I pried open my utitlity closest. Dude, I have a brand new furnace too! And they hauled out the old monster a/c unit. No idea how, cause it was bigget than the door. And they left no mess!

I think I'll pass out in shock.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

God, I wish I knew. I mean, I'd suggest narcotics, so I'm no help at all. Also, breaking things.

So don't listen to me.

Too late.

Well, at least I haven't broken anything.

I watched the two Episodes of The Simpsons from last Sunday. That made me laugh, which tends to be a good stress release for me.

Hmmm.... maybe watch another episode of Buffy? (I've watched the first four episodes of season one so far....)

Yay!

I mean, about the other stuff - not about the shock thing....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That is very cool, Sarameg.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Today is the last day of the con, which has gone on for about a week, I think. It's been a blast, and even though it's a tad expensive (I had my own hotel room) it's been worth it.

Now I get to go visit some friends I haven't seen enough of, and fly home on Wednesday, which seems like the perfect ending!

Swouncing

Skipping lots, and posting from somebody else's computer for just a second (my computer is dead. It's probably the motherboard. We'll know soon what can be saved), just to wish Sean a happy birthday.

At least, I *think* it's his birthday. But all my stuff is on the dead computer, so I can't really know. So just a happy day, if it's not, and a happy birthday if it is.

I'm so sorry, Nilly! I hope you're all backed up and stuff. It's like losing part of my brain when that happens.
