Today is the last day of the con, which has gone on for about a week, I think. It's been a blast, and even though it's a tad expensive (I had my own hotel room) it's been worth it.
Now I get to go visit some friends I haven't seen enough of, and fly home on Wednesday, which seems like the perfect ending!
Skipping lots, and posting from somebody else's computer for just a second (my computer is dead. It's probably the motherboard. We'll know soon what can be saved), just to wish Sean a happy birthday.
At least, I *think* it's his birthday. But all my stuff is on the dead computer, so I can't really know. So just a happy day, if it's not, and a happy birthday if it is.
I'm so sorry, Nilly! I hope you're all backed up and stuff. It's like losing part of my brain when that happens.
So, I don't know what the fuck was going on in my neighborhood last night, but at 2:30 in the morning, there were a TON of people outside my building, talking and yelling and god knows what else. I didn't actually see how many people or what, since I was trying to pretend it wasn't happening, but I can't imagine where they came from. Weird.
I R dum.
I thought I was supposed to work at a downtown theatre at 9am today, but since there was no one at the building (including security) I'm guessing I had the wrong Monday. oops
I should probably spend my unexpected free day cleaning my apartment.
Um... you know today is a holiday, right?
Um... you know today is a holiday, right?
That's why no one is updating their websites! I'll have to find something else to distract me today.
Edited to fix stupid typo.
Yeah, but that just means there aren't shows which is the perfect time for tech work. I rarely get holidays.
Doggies!
Whoo! We were going to drive to NM to drop off our gear today, but we slept in. Fuzzily, at 5 in the morning, we decided we'd rather do it on Wednesday. So I have today off, just like everybody else! Yay!
Of course, that means that I can do my dishes and laundry and cook and sweep and dust and, oh yeah, do heaps and heaps of paperwork. But still! I feel all optomistic about the day. And I made us breakfast in bed and it's a gorgeous day out.
Woo hoo for unexpected day's off!
Also, aurelia, Scarlett and Rhett are adorable!
