Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, could I interest you in a movie or Target at a time to be named later?

Indeed!

And I was going to go to PS1 with the parentals, so maybe I will anyway!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Health-ma to Senor Sock. My brother and his wife have two diabetic cats. Mostly it involves regular insulin shots. From what I gather, the first week or so you will get the "Why?!??!? Why are you STABBING me, you asshole?!??!??!" reaction, but they do get used to it eventually. They handle the shots better than another cat of theirs that they have to give hairball stuff too. That cat will try to avoid it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good morning, Natterers! I slept 11 hours. Had vague sex dreams. Want to go back to sleep.

Health~ma to Senor Sock, tommy! Aw, seems like a lot of sick kitties lately.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I hope Senor Sock is doing well this morning, Tommy.

I had big plans for today, of getting lots of stuff done and then going to see Waitress. I think they may have all been replaced by going back to bed, as many times as possible.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Folks with diabetic cats might be interested in this thread on the Feline Diabetes Board. To summarize, many diabetic cats have their need for insulin lowered, or even stopped needing it at all, after their diet is changed to exclude dry cat food, and switched to a very low carbohydrate cat food. (Wellness is one.)

Of course not every cat reacts the same way, and sometimes diabetes is just genetically fated no matter what you do, but all cats benefit from a very-low-carb wet diet.

I've lost both human and cat dearly-beloveds to diabetes. I hate it. If you've got a diabetic cat - or any cat, really - seriously, take a look at this site.

Poor Senor Sock. I hope today finds him in better health and spirits.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

All kinds of ~ma to Senor Sock and tommyrot.
