I had a moment of insanity yesterday afternoon and ate a bite of vegan brownie, which was amazingly delicious. I hope I don't pay for it too badly -- while my chocolate problem is not as intense (or painful) as my Cow Problem, it does enough to make me stay away from the stuff.
Still, it was SO good.
Tommy, here's lots of kitty-ma -- I'm betting that the insulin will make Senor Sock a whole lot better much faster!
I hope everything gets sorted with Senor Sock, tommy. That must have been so scary!
I just had to explain to my 8th-graders today what Armenian means so we could watch a bit about tensions between Armenian and Hispanic students in, I think, LA.
Yeah, wasn't that in Kat's school?
In disgusting personal news, the exterminator just came, and I'm cranky because the people next door didn't answer! I swear to god, we're never both here when they come, so the nasties just run between our two kitchens. GROSS.
Oh no! My father just called, and they're both sick, and they aren't coming down as planned! Poor them, but now I have no plans for the long weekend.
Jesse, could I interest you in a movie or Target at a time to be named later?
Morning, Easy Coasters! I had a night of horrible dreams and am now happy to be awake too early.
Jesse, i suggest you do one virtuous but avoidable thing, like organizing a closet, and then one frivolous thing, like going to an exhibit at at a smaller museum you don't usually go to. May I suggest this one: [link]
I used to work in that neighborhood and walk by that museum every day! I don't think I ever went in.
Jesse, could I interest you in a movie or Target at a time to be named later?
Indeed!
And I was going to go to PS1 with the parentals, so maybe I will anyway!
Health-ma to Senor Sock. My brother and his wife have two diabetic cats. Mostly it involves regular insulin shots. From what I gather, the first week or so you will get the "Why?!??!? Why are you STABBING me, you asshole?!??!??!" reaction, but they do get used to it eventually. They handle the shots better than another cat of theirs that they have to give hairball stuff too. That cat will try to avoid it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
