Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Tommy, I hope your cat enjoys the night out, and is much recovered very soon.

Allyson needs to come by and wave her galleys or her Warren Ellis quote or something.

I could do with some cheer, externally applied is just fine.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Poor kitty (and tommy). Health~ma to Mr. Sock.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Dammit, I wanted a 15 hour coma and only got a 7 hour one. Ah well, I think I'm going to eschew morning exercise for morning napping and see how much catch-up sleep I can pack into today.

Sorry to hear about your cat Tommy. Hope all goes well with his treatment.

After a week of being very good about brown bagging it to work and cooking cheaply at home, I went out to Automatic Slim's last night. They put me way, way up on the 2nd floor balcony (like 15 feet above ground level, great view of the restaurant) and I had grilled lamb chops with blueberry-mint chutney and goat cheese mashed potatoes. The number of Memphis restaurants that can fix better lamb than I has increased to 4—so delicious! Also so filling that I couldn't order plantains like I'd intended.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I had a moment of insanity yesterday afternoon and ate a bite of vegan brownie, which was amazingly delicious. I hope I don't pay for it too badly -- while my chocolate problem is not as intense (or painful) as my Cow Problem, it does enough to make me stay away from the stuff.

Still, it was SO good.

Tommy, here's lots of kitty-ma -- I'm betting that the insulin will make Senor Sock a whole lot better much faster!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I hope everything gets sorted with Senor Sock, tommy. That must have been so scary!

I just had to explain to my 8th-graders today what Armenian means so we could watch a bit about tensions between Armenian and Hispanic students in, I think, LA.

Yeah, wasn't that in Kat's school?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In disgusting personal news, the exterminator just came, and I'm cranky because the people next door didn't answer! I swear to god, we're never both here when they come, so the nasties just run between our two kitchens. GROSS.

Oh no! My father just called, and they're both sick, and they aren't coming down as planned! Poor them, but now I have no plans for the long weekend.

Jesse, could I interest you in a movie or Target at a time to be named later?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Morning, Easy Coasters! I had a night of horrible dreams and am now happy to be awake too early.

Jesse, i suggest you do one virtuous but avoidable thing, like organizing a closet, and then one frivolous thing, like going to an exhibit at at a smaller museum you don't usually go to. May I suggest this one: [link]
