Ohh poor kitty! Did you bring him a blanket or something familiar from home to spend the night with him or is he totally out of it?

I posted in Beep Me - they've discovered that he's diabetic.
It was the freakiest thing - he seemed OK when I left around 7:30. When I got back at 10:30, I opened the door and discovered something was blocking it. It was Senor Sock (my kitty) - he was lying in front of the door and it seemed he was unable to move. He could turn his head but that was about it.
Oh, it didn't occur to me to bring something he was familiar with. He was pretty out of it when we left to the vet. He's slightly less out of it now. They gave him a little terrycloth doll that he's hugging in his incubator.
Oh, and then my friend Miriam came out to the animal hospital. Then as we're leaving, we discover she can't get her car started. Her new Prius, which she's owned for about 6 hours. She was pretty sure she was doing something wrong. So I drove her back to her place so she could pick up the owner's manual. When we got back to the hospital she got it started without a problem - turns out she was pressing the 'Start' button wrong or something. It was somewhat amusing to me that problems with her brand new, high-mileage car resulted in me driving her around in my 35 year old gas hog....
I have a bad case of Prius envy.
Only 64 more minutes to go. I hope youse silent guys are sleeping peacefully. Lucky dogs.
Well, I think I'm ready to attempt sleep now....
sweet dreams and kitty~ma to you.
Tommy, I hope your cat enjoys the night out, and is much recovered very soon.
Allyson needs to come by and wave her galleys or her Warren Ellis quote or something.
I could do with some cheer, externally applied is just fine.
Poor kitty (and tommy). Health~ma to Mr. Sock.
