Jeebus, Kat. I hope you can go home soon.

A very nice man came and snaked the toilet. It was a serious clog. EW. And HE didn't leave a mess. I've bleached down everything.

I think I'm going to depollen everything within reach of the computer. So gross.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is the rampup to a holiday weekend. I took the time to go home and grab migraine meds and come back to the office, and nothing happened here.

Well, I do hope that Kat got out.

Trust my rage

Is Kat still locked down? Not being able to go would make me bonkers. NOt being able to get my kid would totally freak me out.

Allyson, when you get those galleys, be sure to get a picture of you holding them!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This is the first time we've had any significant time in the summer here, and I think I may go slightly mad. It's one thing to have holiday travel traffic. It's another thing entirely to realize that they're traveling here for their holiday. But I guess since it's over 100 in Phoenix already and it's a pleasant 75 here at the moment, I should accept the fact that I live in a summer homes area.

I am so in love with climate control. I wanna go down and hug the monster unit (considering electric rates are supposed to jump 50% this month, I am so grateful to have an energy efficient one!) And just in time. It's freaking muggy out there. Even 75 would be uncomfortable.

Now if only I didn't have the itchies from dusting.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, muggy not really a problem for me. Heh. But yay for energy efficiency!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I only have 10 more minutes left!

Maybe I will even sneak out after 8.

I'm just guessing at the energy efficiency, since I didn't look at the label tonight. But judging from what This Old House tells me, they are larger in size now because of it. And this one is big. Suuposedly, I have a new furnace too, but I haven't pried open the utility closet to check.

Man, I'm obsessing, aren't I? Some form of post-trauma something.
