Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

My galleys are on the way to me!

Hooray!

YAY Galleys! Protobooks are way cool.

I'm at work where we are on a lockdown. There are sirens and helicopters. It's fun. not. And technically my day is over in 30 minutes but if we don't unlock the lockdown I'm here indefinitely. color me pissed.

thank you for the agogness. Alert eyes and big kids beds are fun.

Allyson!

I need to call you but I'm all broken right now. I think I'm gonna lie down for a bit, but if I wake up at a reasonable time I will give you a call tonight. If not, then tomorrow.

And I didn't even lose any balcony space.

However, my toilet is clogged. And I didn't do it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay galleys!

Yay A/C!

Boo lockdown.

Boo clogged toilet.

If there are any more boos, I'm not going to think about them.

Just to end on a happy note:

Yay noodles!

In other news, I thought I would give the Studio 60 burnoff another shot, but... ugh. I think even in summer no-tv land, I have no interest in this.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, turns out I really am done with Studio 60. Which is handy, what with it being cancelled and all.

AC is good. But also good, it's 82 outside and 69 inside, without AC. I don't know why, particularly, but it's really comfortable in my house right now.

Eck, lockdown! Be safe, Kat.

Whoo, galleys! I cannot wait till you get them. It'll be real! Physical! Your book! In your hands!

Although, I realized there was no Matt or Danny at all, and they were always 75% of my interest in the show.

...so, it was Christine Lahti who was the reporter in earlier episodes? I was all confused for a minute.
