Floppier ears, more mottled coloring?

First mixup of the new job today - I got a call this morning from a woman who seems to be a) handling my in-processing and b) way out of the loop, directing me to a meeting at 1:30.

I gave up going to the mandatory gym stuff then to go, but guess what? No meeting.

Now I'm bored.

That puppy looks so much like my son that it made me a little weepy.

Okay, maybe I'm also tired and have a headache. But the puppy totally looks like the Dillo.

Has anyone "claimed" the explosion or fire?

Just woke up from a nap. Was confused. Thought Sumi was implying that the Beagle half would somehow render a puppy sinister enough to try and blow up the Cutty Sark.

My cat has treed a squirrel right outside my back door. The squirrel is quite vocally pissed off about it.

The VTC room next door to me is on hold, with Muzak being played EXTREMELY LOUDLY.

I am so not a pug person--I guess the beagle part is the part that makes him cute and not creep me out big time. I'm not sure how his looks map to the 'dillo, but he's hella cute.

I was listening to a radio report about this climber/hiker who fell and broker her hip and after a couple days her dog went for help. I loved how she sounded. "I think he knew something was wrong. After a while I told him to go get help not expecting anything because, after all, he's just a dog. But he went and came back with help."

I'm still uber-pragmatic when it comes to pets, but I definitely have space to accept that a dog may sometimes get it above and beyond training (our dogs were never trained, but knew to come when they were called by name, and to attack on command). She sounded so...surprised, grateful, and incredibly appreciative.

And then I read stuff on dailypuppy (okay, skewed sample data) about a dog being the love of someone's life, and I just don't get it.

A friend of mine just got back from her ultrasound.

Her "80% probably a boy"? It's a girl.

I've suggested they name her Lola. Or possibly Trixie.
