AND Miss Grace is officially extubated. No more vent. Let's hope that it sticks and she stays off it.

Woohoo! And yes, keep it that way. That's such awesome news! More cuddlies! Now may her brother get jealous of no tubes and compete for extubation. Erm, I guess it is a little early to play the sibling rivalry card. Though they probably shoved each other around inside.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Nice work, Grace!

Jen, yes.

Yeah, when they were both on the inside, they competed for space, so sibling rivalry is nothing new.

Other happy things in my life right now:

meatloaf
mac and cheese
ginger ale
Atul Gawande's new book Better. It's fantastic. I love that man.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

YAY GRACE!

I also want it to be sometime other than now. 8:00 will do for me, since I will be rewatching part 1, but staying off the internets is hard.

Plei, give Beverly a hug for me, will you?

Lee, are you in Seattle now?

Art Crawl!!!

I'm glad Grace is doing well and that Noah's surgery went well.

JenP: He went on sabbatical from the crime lab to teach a course at a college back east. (Grissom did.) William Peterson was appearing on stage. And he's been back for a bit.

Kat, I'm always reminded of your utter delight at pasta. I was reluctant to get between the two of you. I'm glad you got the mac & cheese love back. (I don't get mac& cheese due to overdose, but I get pasta.)

JenP - May 17, 2007 5:29:38 pm PDT #7998 of 10001

Thanks, Jesse and sumi. Clearly, it's been way longer than I thought since I watched.

Ech. I have a mildly annoying sinus infection that can't decide what it wants to do, even though I know what it should do. Why won't it listen?

Lee, are you in Seattle now?

Nope. Not until very late tomorrow night.

When do you leave for Vegas?

I t heart pasta so very much, it's true. I am going back off the wheat and dairy when I go back to work. When I'm at home, it's just too too hard.

sara, have you read any of Gawande's books? You'd love him, I think. He is a surgeon and a brilliant writer. and he writes about where science intersects with humanity. I loves him very very much.

eta I got a good number! YAY! Maybe I should play the lotto?
