Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is why I should never post about food. Now I totally want hamburger and rice and frozen green beans with soy sauce on it.

The other thing with eggs, as a single person, is I find it hard to eat as many eggs as would be needed to go through a dozen-- so I just tend to do without-- and they are harder to stretch-- although I have seen a scrambled egg/spaghetti combo.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It was actually funny in a sad way when a friend of mine realized that all of her family "comfort food" meals were actually poor food meals -- various combinations of rice, eggs, hamburger, and frozen vegetables.

Tuna casserole, baby, yeah!

You know what I have for lunch? Homemade black bean soup (with bacon!) and fresh raspberries and blackberries.

It's not lunchtime yet. I find this vexing.

It takes eggs a really long time to go bad, though. I eat one a week at best, and the dozen is fine.

Did I mention I have irrational "food going bad" issues....

Omelets! Broccoli cheese omelets for the win. Or hard-boiled eggs for a quick breakfast. Also, they often sell a half-dozen at the grocery store.

I have to slaughter recipes in order to make a true single serving. If I don't, I end up having to eat the same thing for a week.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I can't help but think, "Um, dude, have you never had to grocery shop on a budget before?"

There are budgets and budgets. But I doubt most lawmakers have had to shop for groceries on limited budgets since student days, if ever.

msbelle, has mac seen a doctor? It sounds like he's sick, even if I don't have a clue of what it may be.
