I'm not evil again. Why does everyone think that?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

it's an unwritten rule that the porn friend gets to keep said porn.

Librarian Warlord

My two sisters and I jokingly divided up my parent's assets this way: K got the house, I got everything in the house, and G got the garden shed and everything in the shed (G was not there when K and I decided this -- majority rules). I've now pointed out to them that my parents have sold the house (and the shed), so now I'm the only one who is going to inherit anything (and that's everything).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I mean, hypothetically, if one had such things....

Digital porn? I wouldn't even know where to find any.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

you gotta have a "porn friend", that person that, in the event of your death, hustles over to your house and cleans out all of your porn/toys/naughty stuff before your relatives come to clean out your place.

Or if one should happen to die of autoerotic asphyxiation, someone to... re-arrange stuff. (Was that in The World According to Garp ?) Or if the deceased is gay and closeted, someone to "straighten up." Or perhaps not.

It's widely agreed in my family that once my parents go, the most argued-over possession will be Maurice, their cat.

Punishingly Intricate

I remember my parents showing us their will when they wrote it up. The main thing of impact to us was that they'd named our decidedly bachelorette aunt guardian. We still joke with her about moving in when our parents die.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, those were good! Too bad I already sent that bad boy off with something like "pop culture, food and wine."

Compassionately intolerant

A belated, additional recommendation for Legalzoom. Their system was simple, informative and seemingly thorough and the customer service is good too. I did both a will and medical poa with them.
