I know shrift's response made me snort inappropriately at work. Apparently it sounded like a sneeze, so we're good.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Ewan McGregor's going to star in a new London production of "Othello" as Iago, with Chiwetel Ejiofor as Othello.

Buffista heavy breathing aside, this is some interesting casting. I'd be curious to see how EM does, as I don't think I've ever seen him play an out and out villain before. His natural likeability could make for a very interesting take on the character.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Congrats on the addition to the family, sarameg.

I'm trying to think where I saw Ewan play a nasty little shit--the insider trading movie, at least. Can't remember where else, but I do think his likeability makes for a more interesting villain.

Kinda like Denzel's turn in Training Day. He didn't turn off the appeal--he just used it for evil.
