Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I can't see the words oh goodness without hearing them as said by Lillian (she says it a lot).

Back from the extended M Day brunch thing.

I'm never eating again.

Why is ganache so EASY???

Also, can someone think of a Canadian TV show featuring some doctor who's come out of the closet or is coming out of the closet? This came up at brunch, but was sidetracked by my MiL deciding that my ex-BiL (it's complicated--he once suggested Brother Outlaw to define his role in the family) saying that his friend in said show was "Born Canadian" was the funniest thing ever. We blame the mimosas.

Because books.

I definitely want to read OotP before the movie comes out, and HBP before the new book, but there's no way I'll get them all reread before then.

Happy Mother's Day, moms and those with moms and everybody celebrating today.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Does anyone else feel compelled to read all of Harry Potter from the beginning before the next one comes out?

Yes. I'm trying to figure out when to start.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm still contemplating reading book #4.

sarameg - May 13, 2007 3:43:51 pm PDT #7112 of 10001

I haven't even read book #1.

I went to the arboretum and took pictures for my mom of all the pretty flowery things. And a picture or two of me that I actually like. If I try to make myself do bugeyes, I don't look all squinty-mceyeless in pictures. I don't think I'm squinty-mceyeless in reality (though I may be, but that's contrary to my self-image.)

Glad today has a little more equilibrium.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

::sigh::

Taught, kettlebelled, had coffee with a friend I don't see so much, called home.

So much done, and so much yet to do.

I am embarrassed not to know what those IM initials are standing for.

Happy birthday, mothers!

Kat, I just found the bag of the clothes that you were lending me that didn't fit. And I've finally sorted out all the comics that I don't want--it's a little over two paper grocery bags full.

When shall we meet?

Okay, now got to vacuum and maybe fiddle with my hard drives.

The ad has subtitles, which is part of what's so funny. The kid barely uses a single full word.

So now the cool kids watch ads? I can't keep up.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Does anyone else feel compelled to read all of Harry Potter from the beginning before the next one comes out?

I was packing up my books tonight and actually thought "maybe I should leave those out." You know, along with the 20-odd books I'm planning to read and give away before I move. It's a sickness.

In other moving news, on Mayflower's moving form, my options for the (required) title field were "Mr," "Mrs," or "Miss". Are they kidding me? It was one of those times I really wanted to use Dr.--but it wasn't a friggin' option.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I feel like I need to read the fifth book again. Possibly the sixth since I zoomed through it.

I can't see the words oh goodness without hearing them as said by Lillian (she says it a lot).

Hee. My nephew used to say "Oh my goodness" a lot. It was adorable. Mine above has a slightly different inflection.
