Now tagless for your comfort.

I stopped at a Speedway gas station today and there was a sticker on the pump saying that there was a $50 limit purchase on pay-at-the-pum for Visa and $75 limit for Mastercard. The note said it wasn't a company policy (meaning Speedway?).

At $3.19/gallon, this limit could be very inconvenient for people trying to fill up their tanks.

Has anyone heard of this before? I haven't and I've been buying gas and paying at the pump for a very long time.

If not, either more powdered sugar, or just forget the frosting.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My sister bought a second house. We've been talking about buying a "vacation home" in Charlottesville (Virginia) because her daughters are there, and we both like the town. The plan was to wait until we sold the farmhouse, maybe the end of next year, but then Kim (oldest daughter) decided she didn't want to renew her lease on her tiny apartment, and my sister thought, if we had a house there, she could pay us that rent money, and then while I was in Atlanta, my sister, who never does things spontaneously, went to C'ville, found a realtor, found a house, made a low offer, and last week called to tell me she got the house. I can't believe it. It's gorgeous; it's exactly what I wanted. I told her months ago, when you're ready, the right house will be there, and I guess I was right! Sorry to be posting my happy house news amongst other people's house woes, but I'm really excited about this and I want to share! I was going to sit on the news a little longer, but Kim posted all about it in her LJ, so the bag is now devoid of cats. House photos are here.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

more powdered sugar!

Hee.

I also tasted a bit of it and realized that I accidently made the frosting with salted margarine, rather than unsalted. (I'm having a scatterbrained day.) I'm not sure it's salvagable.

TiVo suggestions are weird. Just got my new TiVo. I recorded two movies: The African Queen and The Sea of Grass. Based on this, Tivo recorded BeastMaster, Batman Returns, an episode of Bonanza, an episode of Gunsmoke, and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Vortex! Both my sister's girls are at UVA. Kim says the house is on Mill Creek, out Avon St. Extended...5 minutes out of town on the south side.

It's relatively new, and I don't know why they have it.

I also don't know why I made this post.

I will make it more meaningful by saying... awesome house, Zen!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds and looks great, Zenkitty!

My mom regularly swaps yogurt for sour cream, but I don't know what difference it makes.

And ita? Your post about sister's pictures made me laugh because I'd blanked on what the pictures were of, so I got to WOMB and it startled me. Not as much as you, even with advanced warning, I'm sure. Glad she's doing well.

ION, I am squeaky clean! Which is a relief. Wanted to wait until it cooled so I wouldn't just re-slime and it has. Raining, which means my hair will never dry, but it's now a reasonable 75 inside and still cooling. Tomorrow will be bearable. Confrontation with maintenance, nsm.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita, tell your sister to take it easy. If she strains now, it makes her recovery MUCH longer. She needs to do as little as possible right now

She is probably going to be a decent invalid. Probably the best invalid in the family. As long as she can get to a wireless internet signal, that is.

I seem to remember things like prohibitions on extended sitting up...is that a figment of my imagination, or just not something she had forbidden to her?
