'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's snowing here. Big fat flakes, too. I writhe in shock and dismay....

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Buffistas, we partied hard on behalf of Scola's 40th birthday.

Yes, yes we did. Promise me we'll never go back to Amnesia.

information libertarian

It's 80 here. (But freezing in my office! I'm wearing a sweater!)

What is even happening?

Ugh! It's snowing. Guess it's slightly better than "wintery mix" but still wrong like a thing that is wrong from wrongtopia. Also? Three days late to be an April Fool's joke. Stupid weather.

I'm more glad to see it than I was to see the hail, this morning. It was wimpy teensy hail, but still. I hate that stuff.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm making chili for tonight, which seemed like a good idea last week when it was freezing. But today it seems like I should bundle it up and send it eastward to the people who are cold!

I'm proud of myself for actually making the preplanned early meal. We're teaching at the Kennel (youth center) on the reservation tonight, which happens just during mealtimes. And then afterwards we meet with our builder (meep!) for the first time. So we won't get back up the hill until after 9:00. So it'll really help to have the meal ready, but I tend to forget it's something I need to do until late.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

New Englandistas, was this the screwiest winter+ evah (+ since it's not supposed to be winter anymore - gives the weather gods the stinkeye ) in your experience? 60s and sunny in January? Snowpocalypse in March?

I mean, I remember the April Fool's storm back in the day, but this is somehow more absurd.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yes, yes we did. Promise me we'll never go back to Amnesia.

Amnesia? Never heard of the place.

What is even happening?

It's up there, Frank. I remember feeling all out of sorts when it just failed to get cold in the late fall and early winter.

The most bizarre weather I ever saw though, was when it snowed in May. I think that was in '77, but I'm not positive.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Yes, yes we did. Promise me we'll never go back to Amnesia.

Amnesia? Never heard of the place.

Clearly I need a more complete update on the events of the evening than I've gotten so far.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Had lunch with the meara.

Sweet.
