"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This picture of Matilda, and its caption, cracked me up!

Cracked Emmett up too. He couldn't stop laughing after he took it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

JZ, you are far more than merely "okay-looking"! You're beautiful. Even Denise Richards doesn't actually look like that photo of Denise Richards. The magic of Photoshop, baby.

I can go as far as assessing the possible appeal of most of my family--but I really want to stop at appeal.

Yeah, I get that. I can say my mom was awfully adorable when she was married and in the years before. Cause she was. Farm girl cutey. But I can't really say anything about my dad, cause it freaks me out. But he was, um, clean cut? There's a gender thing happening there. On top of the familial thing.

With my brother, part of it is knowing, well, he's a helluva lot prettier than me (damn him) and I don't mind others to take note of that. It's like, hey, he's married and all and aren't y'all so unfortunate! Well, when he isn't being insane.

It isn't about me. Except in the proud big sister sense. And a fuck,he got the genes without zits and weight issues. But he got the Nose! Ahahaha! Um.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lee, we're going next weekend! It's not quite the same though, huh?

Especially since I'll be in Seatte.

well poop!

sarameg, I'm posting new pictures from tonight's hospital visit. Are you still awake?

Uh, I shouldn't admit it, but yeah, I'm awake. More pix? Or what?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There was a point at which I realised that PJ Patterson and Julius Nyerere and at least one other childhood crush of mine kinda looked like my dad. Having once in adulthood been propositioned by a guy who looked like him, I can easily say that any charms homeslice might have had were irrelevant, because no freaking way. Just no.

Okay, back to pictures. I love hitting the motherlode of quality scans, but oh, the time spent traversing directory trees...

Well, I intended to take a nap and then maybe head back down to Looptopia, but I just woke up an hour ago, and now I'm waiting for pizza.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I had a similar experience with a blind date who eerily resembled my best friend. Which was sad, because he was actually one of the nicer and more stable guys I've gone out with, but plastic surgery is a bit much to ask for before agreeing to a second date.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I am now home from Looptopia. There was quite the turnout and it got more crowded around 10pm. I don't think the organizers anticipated that since the events tapered off around midnight. It was impossible to get into the Cultural Center around 1am. People were pouring out the doors I'm told they were being sent out because it was too crowded inside. So instead of watching a sci-fi B-movie marathon followed by the Sunrise Celebration (drum trio and Whole Foods breakfast) I ended my evening with a very fun Punjabi dance lesson.
