They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oops. I googled that a long time ago, and forgot to tell you about it. I got all interested in getting my own damn tempurpedic pillow. I have a spring mattress that I really like ('cause no way in hell I can afford a tempurpedic mattress unless it shows up stacked against a wall in a thrift shop) but I would eventually like to get a pillow. Mine is driving me nuts right now.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Was it Vornado? WE love ours.

What was the name of the fan that was all the 'fista rage in the summer of ought six?

You might be thinking of the Vornado.

Congrats on finding a place, megan!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I went downstairs at 8:15 this morning to do my laundry, only to find that there was only one washer free. Oh, well, at least I got my darks washed so I had something to wear to work today. The rest will have to get done tonight.

Speaking of dog-nappings, I read an article somewhere (Tribune, maybe?) this week that talked about an increase in lap-dog snatchings, especially the full-bred variety. Not just dogs being taken out of back yards, but petstores being broken into and valuable puppies stolen!!

Congrats on finding a place, megan!

Well, I'm glad the friend thing worked out because the other places I looked at in the city were tiny!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Vornado, yes!

I love my Tempurpedic pillow, not least of all because it's a pillow of that form factor or nothing for me. Normal pillows give me about half an hour before back or neck pain.

Well, over and above what I have right now, I guess.

I'm still trying to figure out how we went from our 800 sq/ft in Berkeley, where we were able to fit/store everything, to our 1100 sq/ft here (with another bedroom and more closet space) and still have so much stuff we don't have room for. All I can figure is that a square foot must be bigger on the West Coast.

Wanna bet those drop precipitously once Paris Hilton has to do her jail time?

Vornados don't turn themselves off! Woe!

Megan, isn't this exciting?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Damn. I read about the bus shooting in Chicago last night, but at that point there was no info about the death.

ION, the DMV at 5401 N. Elston is my my favoritest DMV evah. They open at 8:30 most mornings, so if you show up at 8:30 there's already a line. But if you show up at 9:00, the line has worked its way through the system and there's now no wait at at.

Yes, a DMV with no waiting. Freaky.
