Damn. I read about the bus shooting in Chicago last night, but at that point there was no info about the death.
ION, the DMV at 5401 N. Elston is my my favoritest DMV evah. They open at 8:30 most mornings, so if you show up at 8:30 there's already a line. But if you show up at 9:00, the line has worked its way through the system and there's now no wait at at.
Yes, a DMV with no waiting. Freaky.
megan, that sounds perfect!
Megan, isn't this exciting?
Yes. Athough still a bit scary. After my first day of apt hunting and the office, I had quite the "WTF have I gotten myself into?" moment. Now that I have a place to live, I'm feeling much better about the whole thing. Still, it's hard to think that in one month I'll be on a different coast doing a different job.
Well, I'm glad the friend thing worked out because the other places I looked at in the city were tiny!
It sounds great!!! I have good friends who live near West Portal...although I'm not sure if that is their neighborhood proper. They're near City College. Anyway, I hear it's an up-and-coming neighborhood.
They're near City College.
Yeah, that's just over the hill. That's where I was staying with my friends while I was apt searching.
Anyway, I hear it's an up-and-coming neighborhood.
I guess you'll have to come and see for yourself!
I guess you'll have to come and see for yourself!
Oh I TOTALLY will!!!
I'm sad this weekend because my best friend in SF is celebrating her b'day with her girlfriends in Palm Springs. I was down there with all of them last fall and it was total magic. But there's no way I could have gone out this weekend.
It's bad timing for the Looptopia site to be down. Redeye has some highlights. [link]
A great tagline from the Daily Kos message boards:
If the Earth really were your mother, she would grab you with one rocky hand and hold you under water until you no longer bubbled. -- Kathleen Dean Moore (Catatonia)
Still, it's hard to think that in one month I'll be on a different coast doing a different job.
It's a big positive for me! Wait until you go to Bardot-A-Go-Go.
