Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

White Castle and math geeks? Shouldn't it be guys who say "dude" a lot?

Whoot, Jon! This question made me laugh rather a lot. And then your witticism at the end made me laugh rather a lot more. You star!

I'm so glad they put them up on YouTube, because it now, finally, occurs to me that we don't have Whitecastles here, either, so I wouldn't see the ads. Although I'll be back in Indy at some point, so if the time lines up, maybe I'll see them then!

Kona coffee & Special K:

Also, sumi, that falcon is so beautiful it takes my breath away. I love predatory birds.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Like we needed more evidence that Jon is a rock star. That link did get me watching more of the Lothars videos though. Cool stuff.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, now the little falcon chicks are snapping toward the camera! Fuzzy!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Awesome article Jon!

Am boggled by the rude theater behaviour.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Getting the gig was pretty nifty (go youtube), and the article is icing.

Thanks, ita (and Liese & aurelia & Daisy Jane). And if it really airs (because I refuse to jinx myself) and I get residual checks, that'll be like the whipped cream and cherry on top of the icing.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

FalconCam reminded me to check the ElephantCam -- 2 elephants are playing in the swimming hole right now!

Our wings are not tired.

Woo! Fun article, Jon. Thanks for the linky.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm sending the Jon B. link to everyone I ever met.

I'm also trying to figure out what goes into a book release party. I want to have it at Vroman's, followed by some sort of cocktail/crudite type thing somewheres.

It's weird throwing a party for myself.

I need to put together souvenir stuff, maybe stickers/temp tattoos of the little vampire mouse. Maybe a few mousepads.

I was thinking of little goodie bags and ripping apart my old keyboard that I wrote the book on, and putting a key in each bag.

All of which seems very full of myself, but at the same time, is what I'd do for someone who hired me to put together a party.

Ideas?

Allyson, would plastic Halloween vampire teeth be too silly/cheesy?
