I'm sending the Jon B. link to everyone I ever met.
I'm also trying to figure out what goes into a book release party. I want to have it at Vroman's, followed by some sort of cocktail/crudite type thing somewheres.
It's weird throwing a party for myself.
I need to put together souvenir stuff, maybe stickers/temp tattoos of the little vampire mouse. Maybe a few mousepads.
I was thinking of little goodie bags and ripping apart my old keyboard that I wrote the book on, and putting a key in each bag.
All of which seems very full of myself, but at the same time, is what I'd do for someone who hired me to put together a party.
Ideas?
Ideas?
Allyson, would plastic Halloween vampire teeth be too silly/cheesy?
I'm not sure how to link to the specific video, but the one with the baby Dachshunds on the front page of Cuteoverload is washing all my cares away.
Like these?
Those wax lips are perfect! I LOVE the keyboard keys idea. Maybe some video monitors around, playing Buffy and other shows you mention.
OMG, they are just too cute!
(ETA: Dachsie puppies - -NOT wax lips.)

this is an adorable idea.
I was just going to suggest wax lips, but I'm too late. I also love the temporary tatoo idea.
Is there anything else sort of iconic in the book? Maybe little pink flamingoes?
If I were reading Gay Wedding Tree, I'd definitely get the pink flamingo swizel sticks. I think I'm going to read Minearest and Dearest, since that's the one the publisher keeps sending out to booksellers.
