It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

You're my only gun-experienced NYC friend at all! As far as I know.

Pretty sure msbelle is another!

information libertarian

Silly Alan is visiting us - he's at annual training at Ft. Bragg (he is in the army reserves and is a historian for them) and can go away for the weekend. We may take him to the Tobacco Museum.

Also, farmer's market, laundy, vacuuming, unclog tub drain, masses of dishes, grocery shop - the usual.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think these cruise people are serious, though. There will be tuxedos. Not on my husband, but still.

Oh, that does sound serious.

Pretty sure msbelle is another!

Oh yeah. And yet, you never see pictures of her with a gun!

According to Qi, kangaroos do not fart. They also have the same diet as cows. Cow farts are, of course, dangerous to the environment. So they are studying how to apply the kangaroo adaptation to cows, and thus may save the earth.

This show rules.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The Western Caribbean. There will be some snorkeling. There will be eating. There will be attempting not to get sunburned.

Sounds wonderful. Have a great time.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think this might possibly be awesome:

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton was given a 45-day prison sentence by a Los Angeles court Friday for driving with a suspended license. She swept into the Metropolitan Courthouse, ignoring screams from photographers lining the route like it was a movie premiere. She told the judge: "I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything." He ruled out electronic tagging in lieu of jail time.

not your mom's socks.

What are people doing this weekend?

!!! we have a babysitter !!! and Spiderman! tomorrow...

a local theater [lisah: the Senator] lets groups rent out its balcony for $10/person and bring in food and drinks [!] - best part is that the balcony's two rooms are soundproofed, with the movie piped in. For certain movies, that means one room = the heckling room, the other room = quiet, serious watching. We cannot wait.

eta: after Spiderman, I swear that I'll pay complete attention to everything.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

We're going to see the Moscow Cats [link] on Sunday. Bizarreness!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This weekend:

Tonight is Date Night! The SO just shaved up using his new soap & brush and we're going either to the Pasta House for swanky Italian in a tiny tiny restaurant or to Thai or Japanese. Then we're going to see Spiderman 3, and he's already got the tickets so we only have to fight the line for seats, not the line for tix.

Tomorrow is the Derby and we might hit the local cheapo (but excellent) Mexican place for Cinco de Mayo. We've got lessons during the day and in the afternoon we'll take Seabiscuit to the park. I also have to do the grocering and the library. Then in the evening, we're going to Common Grounds, which is a new coffeeshop/informal church in town. That will leave us free for him to get ready for his trip on Sunday.

On Sunday he leaves for New Mexico, and I loll around and watch hockey. Then I clean the house and get ready for the Week of Paperwork, with potential added Sorting Things Out About the Build. And Find a House For the Parents Week.

Oh, and upon arrival, he buys our new all-in-one printer. I called ahead and got the sale price ($200 off from $399!) extended to Sunday and it'll be set aside for him.

When Devi sneezes, she sounds like a duck quacking. I figured you'd all want to know.
