We're going to see the Moscow Cats [link] on Sunday. Bizarreness!

This weekend:

Tonight is Date Night! The SO just shaved up using his new soap & brush and we're going either to the Pasta House for swanky Italian in a tiny tiny restaurant or to Thai or Japanese. Then we're going to see Spiderman 3, and he's already got the tickets so we only have to fight the line for seats, not the line for tix.

Tomorrow is the Derby and we might hit the local cheapo (but excellent) Mexican place for Cinco de Mayo. We've got lessons during the day and in the afternoon we'll take Seabiscuit to the park. I also have to do the grocering and the library. Then in the evening, we're going to Common Grounds, which is a new coffeeshop/informal church in town. That will leave us free for him to get ready for his trip on Sunday.

On Sunday he leaves for New Mexico, and I loll around and watch hockey. Then I clean the house and get ready for the Week of Paperwork, with potential added Sorting Things Out About the Build. And Find a House For the Parents Week.

Oh, and upon arrival, he buys our new all-in-one printer. I called ahead and got the sale price ($200 off from $399!) extended to Sunday and it'll be set aside for him.

When Devi sneezes, she sounds like a duck quacking. I figured you'd all want to know.

Perkins has a lot of movements that seem very rabbit like.

Tonight, I don't know. Tomorrow, I have to package books, go to the post office, set up a meeting, and go to a visiting storyteller's workshop. Sunday, there's all my regular Sunday stuff, then maybe taking the storyteller out to lunch, then maybe some laundry, then off to hand out programs at the storyteller's performance. This storyteller, Jack Dalton, absolutely rocks. He performed and presented at the library conference in Barrow a few years ago, and I'm tickled pink that our public library got him for here. Not so tickled that the camera is dead though. I might try to do something about that on Saturday too.

I think tonight I might sleep, as I'm starting to think I have an inner ear thing going on, with all the wooziness.

Silly Alan is visiting us

Who is Alan, and why is he silly?

I am planning to see Spiderman 3 this weekend, and I am planning some serious cleaning - none of that carefree, willy-nilly, lighthearted stuff.

Yesterday, Freya looked up at me like she wanted to jump on my lap. Then, she just kind of hopped about a foot in the air. Then looked at me and jumped up to my lap, as if nothing had happened. I laughed so hard!

We're going to finish planting our flower beds, framing/trimming a door, cleaning, shopping, cooking out and if, we decide to take up my friend's offer of babysitting, going to the movies.
