Librarian Warlord

This may be of interest to the lawyers who happen to be female:

Women Lawyers and Obstacles to Leadership from the MIT Workplace Center. From the blurb:

The report tracks the career paths of nearly 1,000 women and men in Massachusetts law firms. The report shows revealing and inadequate firm responses to family factors affecting women—far more than men—which has resulted in a large scale exodus of women from the practice of law. The report also follows these women down their new career paths to organizations and companies that are more family-friendly—disproving the conjecture that women are choosing to stay at home rather than continue working in the legal field.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chinese chicken salad wrap and fruit salad. I should check the glycemic indices of the common cheapo fruit salad fruits. Still, better than the fries, and tastier than the...the other thing I didn't have.

Boy, dumb and not even having a migraine. Back and shoulders feel much improved--maybe it's a cure, maybe it's a reprieve. Either way, stretching cautiously.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

You guys, I am happier than I've been in forever: I am getting a new work chair! My back hurts all the time, and I totally blame it on ten hours a day sitting on this hard ass cheapo chair. But I can see my new chair! It's this one: [link] So, this is the good news for the day-- new chair!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Excellent chair! Look at all the ways it's adjustable seat depth! Lumbar height! you just don't see that everywhere.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I had an Aero chair, which was THE BOMB, but then they got me a "manager's chair", this big leather thing. Yeah, it's nice, but I liked the aero. But the manager guy was so excited about getting me the leather chair, I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Maybe I can sneak it out when I leave . . .
