I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Excellent chair! Look at all the ways it's adjustable seat depth! Lumbar height! you just don't see that everywhere.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I had an Aero chair, which was THE BOMB, but then they got me a "manager's chair", this big leather thing. Yeah, it's nice, but I liked the aero. But the manager guy was so excited about getting me the leather chair, I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Maybe I can sneak it out when I leave . . .

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I vote we go here for next year's F2F.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Ah, so much better.

ita, if you're still around, the latest Previews shows a new Martha Washington one-shot.

Just in case you hadn't heard.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I need to print out the program put up on Malice Domestic's web site so I can see when various authors are signing, but that means I have to unplug and disconnect the PDA so I can plug in and connect the printer. Stupid lack of USB sites. Stupid oversized plugs that block parts of the power strip.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I knew I should have gone home before the stupid mistakes caught me.

I don't know about a Hay Whirlpool, but a beer bath does sound pleasant.

Squids take care of that power strip blocking problem nicely, Sheryl.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, Pete! I've kinda drifted out of buying comics again (when I realised the pounds of paper I was accumulating that I'd never read more than once), but Martha's definitely worth going back for.

I have a chair, and for that I'm grateful. I'm mostly excited about the desk accessories arriving. Then I can pretend to be organised.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Today for lunch I had the best sandwich I've eaten in the last 7 years at Automatic Slim's Tonga Club. It was a Caribbean barbecued shrimp BLT with avocado on grilled herb bread, approximately the size of my torso, recommended to me by this very cute and friendly waiter. For several reasons, I need to eat lunch there more often.

The rest of my day was pretty much picking up comics, dropping off mail, and walking my co-worker through the process to burn a DVD with all the files missing from the DVD I burned for a design firm last week. Not sure what happened, but half of what I supposedly wrote to disk didn't actually make it there.

I'm saddened that it's cloudy and thus no fun to go take advantage of the YMCA outdoor pool like I did yesterday afternoon, but at least that gives me a chance to watch SGA commentaries on DVD
