The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

No, she did not. There were no opportunities to do so.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You've got to make opportunity.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Just consider Matt, that it's a good thing that none of your neighbors had a video camera, or else you'd be up on YouTube right now. See? It could have been so worse....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Why am I so stressed out about work? It makes no sense. And I really don't want to go into the office tomorrow, but I just realized if I don't I won't be able to print out my boarding pass ahead of time for my flight tomorrow night. Bah. You can check in without being able to print the thing, right?

FWIW, it's useful to have something printed out -- if there's a problem I find that clueless airline people are far more likely to believe you if you have something official looking to show them. I also like to have it because I can totally thinko the numbers of flights and times and stuff, even when I transfer it to my PDA and so on.

In theory, you can go completely paperless -- some self-checkins go by your credit card number, even, or just typing in your name. But I've worked too much with software to count on it. :-)

Yeah, I hate not having the stuff printed out -- including all the details for the work thing on Tuesday. Stupid lack of home printer!

One of the first things I did upon becoming unemployed was buy a new printer (one that worked -- I'd been coasting on the availability of work printers!) because I knew with job-hunting and all, I'd need it for quick-printing resumes and envelopes and whatnot. That it came with the capability to print photographs and scan and copy is pure gravy that I'm finding unexpectedly useful....

I'm getting the pig!

Printers come to my house to die. I picked up a used one on craigslist a few years back. I saw that it worked at the seller's house. Didn't work at mine.... but it was cheap, so I didn't really worry about it much. I bought a brand new one a month or so later. It worked for about three months and then it died. One of The Aunts gave me a printer just this last year. She wanted a new one so she gave me her old one. It worked perfectly at her house. It worked *maybe* all of five times at my house.

It's sad, really. The poor printers never even had a chance at a happy printing life in my home.

Morning, all. We're supposed to reach high 80s today. I guess I should think about climbing up on the roof relatively soon to hook up the evap. cooler.

Nicole, Slayer of Printers!

I actually think I could print stuff out at the storefront accountant's down the street, so I'm still on the fence about going into the office. The real problem is, I have a 6pm flight, and it would take 15 minutes to get to the airport from my house versus say an hour from my office. Eh.
