Boy, is it raining here.

Thanks, everyone.
And thanks, Stephanie. I didn't expect people to remember, because I wasn't a Buffista when my children were born.
But I mentioned and nobody said anything, so then I mentioned it again.
And I don't care what you say, Nilly. None of the above was your fault.
Well, that's why I feel bad. (I mentioned, mentioned again, Nilly mentioned the day after, and then I left with my feelings hurt for three months) I think in my particular case, I was extra sensitive because we had just moved here, knew no one, were living in a hotel, and there was no one but us to wish her happy birthday. And it was her first.
And it's clearly not Nilly's fault. I didn't get to meet her, but the reports all state that she is wonderful.
Speaking of forgetting things, isn't today Admin Professionals' Day? So three cheers for all the admin types!
Cindy, I hope Christopher had a great birthday. What did he get for presents? Any surprises? I'm a sucker for surprising kiddos and the look on their little faces when they realize that in that moment their dreams came true.
Also, getting ready for tonight: GO SABRES! If Sean Avery wants a war on the ice, I say bring it on!
Cuban heels--they strike me as messy looking peeking out of shoes.
Depends on the shoe. I love cuban heels. ButI also love stockings. Of course, now? I'm much more of a pajama pants wearing kind of girl.
Cindy, 7 is not that old. I swear. It's turning ten, into the double-digits, that's really tragic.
I have to remember that I bookmarked that stocking site for the next time I want to get some for my grandmother. Regular stockings are harder and harder to find!
Depends on the shoe.
What kind of shoe?
The security guard at work told me yesterday that he liked my style. What my style is is random. I've given up looking for cues from my co-workers, since most of them dress in ways I can't. The chick I work closest with is a suit a day and I haven't noticed repeats this past month.
What I do need is more pants, since there are times I'm required to wear them. But they're a bitch to find that fit. Grr.
In the meanwhile it's slightly weird clothes all the way.
This morning I managed to knock my sliding glass door off the rails (uh, I don't know how, but I got it back on) and then had to sit 5 minutes in the driveway waiting for some idiot to make a left turn out of it. Which, during rush hour? Is pretty much impossible until someone takes pity on you and stops. There aren't very many pitying drivers in this city. And yes, it was someone I've been stuck behind before , so it's not as if they could be completely unawares.
We went to a fun breakfast and talk for Admin Prof Day - yesterday.
My week has been odd: took Monday off (whoo hoo!), Tuesday went right to the Admin Prof Day stuff -- didn't get to the office 'til 10:30 and today? It's just dead in here.
There are no Admin Day festivities planned for today here...
