Meanwhile, I'm taking my beer, because none of you people even care that my baby turned 7 today. I'll put you out on the streets. Bitch bitch bitch.
Okay, I totally can't believe he is 7! How did that happen? I hope he had a great birthday.
I was thinking all this yesterday, but failed to post. Which is amazing to me since I got all hurt last year that no one remembered Ellie's first birthday. (June 4, btw in case anyone wants to write it down so I don't get all hurt and sad this year) That's the problem with this place - it's so validating that when you expect it and it's not there, it is extra sad.
This is why Nilly is so helpful! I'll always remember Ellie's birthday - we were at a block party, and my mom was visiting, and your mom called me!
Well, that's what I finally realized - there are a ton of birthdays here all the time.
I didn't know you were at a block party - your neighborhood seems so cool. I miss that - we had that in NC also.
Thanks, everyone.
And thanks, Stephanie. I didn't expect people to remember, because I wasn't a Buffista when my children were born.
But I mentioned and nobody said anything, so then I mentioned it again.
And I don't care what you say, Nilly. None of the above was your fault.
Well, that's why I feel bad. (I mentioned, mentioned again, Nilly mentioned the day after, and then I left with my feelings hurt for three months) I think in my particular case, I was extra sensitive because we had just moved here, knew no one, were living in a hotel, and there was no one but us to wish her happy birthday. And it was her first.
And it's clearly not Nilly's fault. I didn't get to meet her, but the reports all state that she is wonderful.
Speaking of forgetting things, isn't today Admin Professionals' Day? So three cheers for all the admin types!
Cindy, I hope Christopher had a great birthday. What did he get for presents? Any surprises? I'm a sucker for surprising kiddos and the look on their little faces when they realize that in that moment their dreams came true.
Also, getting ready for tonight: GO SABRES! If Sean Avery wants a war on the ice, I say bring it on!
Cuban heels--they strike me as messy looking peeking out of shoes.
Depends on the shoe. I love cuban heels. ButI also love stockings. Of course, now? I'm much more of a pajama pants wearing kind of girl.
Cindy, 7 is not that old. I swear. It's turning ten, into the double-digits, that's really tragic.
I have to remember that I bookmarked that stocking site for the next time I want to get some for my grandmother. Regular stockings are harder and harder to find!
