If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I didn't even scroll down far enough. From the same McGill newsletter:

Genetic find could lead to improved Alzheimer's drugs

Researchers at McGill have successfully altered a gene that regulates the switch from short- to long-term memory in mice.

If Diebold's connections to the Republican Party aren't enough to raise alarms, I doubt this will.

Now tagless for your comfort.

If Diebold's connections to the Republican Party aren't enough to raise alarms, I doubt this will.

Like the President of Diebold nearly French kissing the Ohio Secretary of State and promising to deliver Ohio to the GOP wrapped in a bow?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If Diebold's connections to the Republican Party aren't enough to raise alarms, I doubt this will.

Yeah. Too true.

Besides, Diebold told us they weren't gonna swing the election to the Republicans. That should be good enough.

I think they actually told us the opposite. They're a lot ballsier than their patrons, gotta give 'em that.

Well, at one point the president of Diebold (speaking to the press) said they weren't going to steal the election. This was in response to questions about him telling fellow Republicans he wad going to deliver Ohio to Bush.

Which is sorta' like the fox telling the farmer, "I'm not going to steal any chickens" after the fox has already asked his fellow foxes, "Hey, who wants chicken?"

edit for sense....

So there's this couple out on the bench outside. It appear they are having a "date." Which includes watching/listening to music on their individual cells and comparing, in a non-threatening manner, switchblades. The conversation is whacko.

The hell?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The hell?

You know, of course, this sounds like a great night out to me.

Why won't the sun go away? I need to sleep, and it won't leave me alone.

Actually, I thought of you as I wrote that. But this is just so much more... something else. It's weird.

What is even happening?

Oh dear, Pearl just killed me dead with cute and with guilt for being killed dead by the cute. But? I'm still dead, just the same.

Meanwhile, I'm taking my beer, because none of you people even care that my baby turned 7 today. I'll put you out on the streets. Bitch bitch bitch.
