So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel.

Because books.

Happy birthday, Sheryl! Peach martinis are an awesome substitute for cake! (Although peach martinis AND cake would be best, in my world.)

House: I have to say, the medicine in this one seems a lot more questionable than usual, which is saying something. There have to be lots of dads out there using that kind of stuff, and I'm not hearing about any strange reports of accelerated puberty all over the country.

Still, Cameron got groped by an eight-year-old, House asked Wilson if he thought the play was a date, AND House asked Cuddy out! That was worth the price of admission.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My embarassing display of the evening, discovering I was in the Wrong Crowd: Somehow, we were talking about fat cats, and I said, "Do you know the website Tomato Nation?" No. "It's one of the women from Television Without Pity?" Still blank looks. "Anyway, there's this site, and she just posted a picture of her cat, and he's REALLY FAT." Um, OK.

Of course, I had already started a conversational gambit with "Did you ever see Beauty and the Geek?" Luckily, one person had.

This is why I don't like new people!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I worked in an office in Boston that still used pneumatic tubes. The coolest! Though it was a little startling at first to hear the fwump! cwomp of an arriving delivery behind you.

And, as I've noted before, there's a bar in Milwaukee that sends its martini through a pneumatic tube system.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Not only that, Amy, but women totally get lip waxes without mani/pedis! Waxing is maintenance, not pampering! So that little a-ha moment made no sense at all.

But the House/Wilson this season has been deliciously textual, which is more than worth putting up with some sloppy medical writing for.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Still blank looks. "Anyway, there's this site, and she just posted a picture of her cat, and he's REALLY FAT." Um, OK.

That cat was seriously fat! Much bigger than Parker Posey!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

a friend of mine, through my brother, is on Dirt

Who? I've been watching intently.

I think hospitals still use pneumatic tubes to send samples to labs and stuff--though if there's a spill it's pretty much hazmat and it all gets shut down.

I have had two glasses of freshly squeezed OJ. It's so very sweet, and addictive. I may finish the jug before bedtime.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

He plays Elliott. I think he knows J.

Best stores used pnuematic tubes, right? The big Salvation army store on W46th ST still uses them.

and looking that up I found this: [link]

brillig

House I stopped worrying about medical plausibility ages back, and for confirmatory evidence the waxing works.

I so adored Wilson yelling at House, then casually walking away with a "Night, Wilson" "Night, House." But now I want to see Wilson's revenge. I still like the idea of House and Cuddy together--so long as they stay House and Cuddy snarking at each other and not Greg and Lisa being cuddly. But maybe his obnoxious ex-girlfriend can show up and be jealous.

Sars has a fat cat? remembering the roomba stories. Laughing.

OK, so yeah, I've been flipping between PBS and network. And I'm kinda cranky. Not reasonably, but... "A Killer Revealed" and "An Anatomy of a Rampage"? I mean...ok, here's the thing. They were mostly (between flipping madly) about the survivors and elegies to the dead. So why the fuck were the titles about the fuckhead? That irks me., Cause as far as I'm concerned, beyond trial (which isn't possible,) the concern ought to be to the living who need to deal. I'm incredibly biased (being alive and all) but I really don't get the obsession with murderers over the pain of the living. And I watched the Frontline specials on Columbine and other ick YEARS LATER. Hell, I even get wanting to find out WHY. But the juxtaposition of the media titles with content just seemed so masturbatory. "Ooooh, let us tell you about the psycho but really we'll tell you something else." It's just mean.

OJ good. I have to stick to the low acid cartoned stuff, but mmmm.

I googled him, msbelle, but it's not coming back to him.

I feel dorkily happy when I find degrees of separation between people I know. I mean, that don't involve going through me.

Okay, I've held off long enough. Time for more OJ.
