Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthdays!!

TAR: I'm with you, Liese, on wondering why they showed us that sign if no one was going to get kicked off a flight for being underdressed. Also, I cannot get over fucking Mirna trying to get the airline people to change the order of the standby list while at the same time saying that using the Yield is bad game play. I mean, seriously.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I assume they were just trying to build suspense that Danny and Oswald would get booted from the office.

That yield shit is idiotic, but eh - give Mirna some credit. She saw a chance to move them up and went for it. Though it was certainly nice to see how the different demeanors between them and the BQs seemed to be paying off. Where were Eric and Pink? If they'd been up at the counter with the BQs (and had mostly shut up and let them do the talking) that whole thing might've turned out differently.

Mirna is appalling, but as a team, they're really playing a lot harder than they used to. And I haven't seen them playing the little person card the way they did before. Plus, how could you not love Charla's wheely shoes?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Where are Miles & Solidad O'Brian? The new people on CNN are sucktastic.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Two fun weather facts NY1 had to teach me this morning: yesterday was the second-wettest day in NYC history. If it had been snowing, we would have received ~75 inches.

Not fun facts: subway problems made me want to move back to Phoenix.

Glad I took today off from work. It sounds like the apocalypse out there with the gale force winds and the rain. This is not going to be a fun day for the marathon runners (hopefully it will keep the rubbernecking fans at bay).

So, how many rain outs does it take to cancel a baseball season?

I hope people who saw the OC S2 finale have seen this SNL short from this weekend: [link]

So I woke up at 3:45 and slept (if it can be called that) fitfully until around 6. At which point I fell soundly asleep. The alarm went off at quarter to 7. I'm not tired, just cranky about having my sleep interrupted.

Walking in to work, I had to lean into the wind for forward progress. I don't envy Boston's marathoners. Well, I never do, but even less so today.
