What is even happening?

I asked the nurse today and she said once the PICC line comes out. I'm not sure when that will be, but there you go. We also learned when Grace reaches 1300 grams we'll be able to hold her, kangaroo-care style. Noah? NSM because of his ventilator.
Oh, I've been wanting to ask about kangaroo care, but I didn't, because I knew you'd mention it once the doctors did. I can't wait until you can do this. Can't wait. And I'm sending every thought I have for Noah, to make the oscillating vent no longer necessary.
Is it wrong that I love ordering photos off flickr and having them sent to Target? Best Thing Ever.
No! It's great, and not wrong at all.

Sara, when ready, they'll move Noah to a less invasive vent. His respiratory stuff is not as strong as Grace, but I am told by the respiratory therapist that boys tend not to do as well as girls. Not just twins, but in general.

Yes, and from what I've read recently, this is true of white male micro-preemies, in particular. NICU personnel call them 'wimpy white boys'. That's all right. I'm pretty sure from all your reports that Noah has his mother's spirit.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm going to Home Despot with my neighbors to get some flats and gardening supplies. Our back yard patio is a nasty disaster, and we're gonna fix it up with flowers and a new patio set, so we can actually ENJOY the backyard.

Oooo, you can get hanging paper lanterns or string lights!

I was watching Walking with Cavemen on the Discoverychannel earlier, which has now resulted in Man vs. Wild running on my TV in the background. Or, as I think of it, Mother Nature, Why Haven't You Killed this Moron Already?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

If you weren't told to mail anything, I'm sure you're fine, sumi. i've never had to do it before. I figure it's either some random check thing or it's because I did all the data entry a while ago and am just doing the filing part now.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

If you liked Walking with Cavement, Walking With Dinosaurs et al, be sure to check out Prehistoric Park, which is worth it just to dramatize how difficult dealing with such large animals would be.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I just landed. Only four hours late. I won't get home in time to see the start of Drive.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It is STILL raining. Hard. Where is all this water coming from? Is the Atlantic still there? Roads around here were already flooding this morning; I'm gonna need to build an ark just to get to work tomorrow.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Google Maps seems to have the "smartass answers to smartass questions" thing down pretty well for an automated service. A friend who uses the the name of "docile body" passed this along:

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Bummer, Tom! I assume you're recording it, though.

I think I may stay home sick tomorrow, due to all the sleeping. It seems ridiculous, but I was so wiped out last week, and have literally slept half of this weekend. Hmmm. The truth is, I want to watch TAR and Drive tonight, and I have plans Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and I think that all may be too much.

I left two weeks ago. My DVR didn't know about Drive!
