I am annoyed far more than I probably should be that after e-filing my federal taxes I apparently still have to mail something in. Not, like, a check or anything, just a form saying I e-filed. Not large with the sense-making, if you ask me.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Also, about the taxes, not to enable anyone's procrastination, but it turns out they're not actually due until Tuesday, the 17th.
Ahh. Procrastination mode enabled.
Did everyone remember to request the telephone tax refund?
I actually redid mine to include that. I was mystified by it (and frankly, too lazy to read up on it) but then my parents lectured me and abashment set in...
It's a tax that was put in place to fund the Spanish-American War.
The IRS will only be refunding Taxes paid since ~2003. It's just as well, I mean, I could never find my phone bills from 1890.
Huh. Are you sure about that? Because I e-filed and I didn't have to send anything in.
Perhaps I should phone them and find out.
Last year I had to send something in for Federal. This year not.
Want my pizza.
I didn't have to mail anything in.
I wonder what I'm going to have for dinner, as I don't really have any food in the house, but just ordered pizza late last week, so I don't want to do that again.
There's an extra line on the return for people who just request the standard amount and don't bother to dig out all their old phone bills. The standard amount for an individual taking one exemption is $30. So, you know, it's a new pair of shoes. Which I have already bought.
The DH and I finished up the taxes today, too. That sucking sound you hear is our checking account being drained by the IRS. One of us did a bit of consulting work and didn't pay any taxes on it during the year despite handed the forms by his wife. I pointed to the penalties today and I don't think he'll ever do that again.
We also went to Target, Trader Joes and the Container Store today.
And then I napped for 2 hours, which I figure is because of the cold because I never nap.
I asked the nurse today and she said once the PICC line comes out. I'm not sure when that will be, but there you go. We also learned when Grace reaches 1300 grams we'll be able to hold her, kangaroo-care style. Noah? NSM because of his ventilator.Oh, I've been wanting to ask about kangaroo care, but I didn't, because I knew you'd mention it once the doctors did. I can't wait until you can do this. Can't wait. And I'm sending every thought I have for Noah, to make the oscillating vent no longer necessary.
Is it wrong that I love ordering photos off flickr and having them sent to Target? Best Thing Ever. No! It's great, and not wrong at all.
Sara, when ready, they'll move Noah to a less invasive vent. His respiratory stuff is not as strong as Grace, but I am told by the respiratory therapist that boys tend not to do as well as girls. Not just twins, but in general.
Yes, and from what I've read recently, this is true of white male micro-preemies, in particular. NICU personnel call them 'wimpy white boys'. That's all right. I'm pretty sure from all your reports that Noah has his mother's spirit.
