Librarian Warlord

I had the following people at my house tonight: tommyrot, Kathy A., SailAweigh, aurelia and Mr. Scola. I shall now sit back and bask in the glow of your jealousy.

Jealous? HA! Who's jealous? Maybe just a little.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I may be jealous of other people and their good times, but you can all now proceed to be jealous of me, for I was asleep before 11, and slept til 8:30! So awesome.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had Tommyrot in my dream last night, but I'm sure that's only a coincidence. He seemed to be odd man out at a slash convention, at least for part of it. Fortunately, I don't seem to remember more details than that!

Huh.

Does that mean I'm supposed to read more slash? Or write slash?

ION,

The Indian civil service is dropping part of a new appraisal form requiring female employees to detail their menstrual cycles, a top official says.

The decision to scrap the "menstrual question" was taken after the Communist Party of India (Marxist) MP and women's activist, Brinda Karat led a delegation to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and asked him to intervene in the matter.

He in turn directed the ministry of personnel to drop the objectionable parts of the new appraisal form, Mr Mishra said.

Correspondents say that senior ministers were embarrassed over the issue, and wanted to stop left parties from making political capital out of it.

Ms Karat described the decision as a "victory for common sense".

Annual appraisals and health checks are mandatory in India's civil service, one of the country's largest employers.

I think there's a "Communist" joke in there somewhere....

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Count me among the jealous, Jesse. I was up at 6:20. Oh the joys of motherhood!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

As a single person, the fact that I haven't slept 8 hours in a row in weeks is RIDIC.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

It's only lunchtime and I'm already tired of errands, yet I still have plenty. Plus laundry and de-dust bunnying.

But I did manage to score a salon appt for next saturday (virtually unheard of to have less than a 2 week wait with my stylist these days.) So that was good, considering I think I'm about to hit my can't-stand-it switch. But not there yet! Still like my hair.

Anywho....lunch.

sarameg - Apr 14, 2007 9:08:08 am PDT #2529 of 10001

Lunch had, even though I had to fend off a cat very interested in palaak paneer, for some reason. Probably the same reason I am having to type around him right now. He's being Mister Needy.

OK, back out to the mines stores.
