Poor Robin. I hope you bounce back quickly and take it very easy.
Just got off the phone with my mom. She wanted a twins and Kat update. This is an example of why I volunteer her out as a borrowed parent.
It looks like my dad may be taking another sabbatical 100 mile from home. Last time he took one, I was in h.s. and he came back into town once a week overnight and we (or at least one of us) went up every weekend and spent the summer there. I'm wondering if mom might retire if it happens, or if she'll take a leave or a job up there or.... or what (she only has a couple years to retirement herself.) He's only got another year of teaching before retirement, and this is driven by his site manager taking another job and him wanting to train the sucessor (the guy is already on site, and they've been grooming him for it, but not this soon.) Anyway, interesting news. All in the last 2 days. It's all crazy!
So, sara, he'd take a year long sabbatical then come back for one more year and then retire?
Also, I just posted an LJ Grace-n-Noah Update. With pictures! You could tell your mom. Also, tell her I said hello.

Oh - there was a clue! That's excellent. Do you think that they'll figure the miniature killer thing out by the end of the season
?
House: As soon as
House said that statistically two women on the plane should be pregnant, I figured Cuddy was.
So it turns out that stopping at Target on my way home from a busy day work to buy Claratin-D on a day when my uterus is trying to kill me is maybe not such a good idea.
I mean, sure, the pharmacy chick WAS an idiot, but maybe I should have not told her so, right?
Just started watching this week's 24. So,
Wayne Palmer came back wrong?
Also, I would just like to say how disappointed I will be if
no one gets a chance to say "Is anyone aive in here?"
this season.
I would comment. But it might spoil you.
Lee, I think idiots often need to be told. so there.
I NEED TO BE DOING WORK AN NOT WASTING TIME! God, I am so sick of myself having no discipline.
msbelle, you have discipline. You also have a raft of crazy at work and a loved child at home and little to no downtime. Work, but don't beat up my msbelle for needing to breathe.
Kat, I've emailed her links, but she ..well. It's the internet. Mom doesn't venture far or do the reload thing, so I continually have to send her links. It's kinda adorkable. And I will give her your greetings.
Dad'd probably only take a 6 month sabbatical (it sells better and he thinks it is plenty of time to get the new/old guy up to speed) then come back for a year. I have no idea what he'd do in retirement. I don't think he does either. I mean, he's always been good about having extracurriculars (spanish, flute, tae kwon do, S&R) but he's the type who thrives on all his hours filled (unlike me. I just like people and that can fulfill me.) I suspect his retirement needs to involve a full time extracurricular. But he's not figured out what that might be. My brain goes a little boom at the R word.
