Off the crossbar. The announcers are getting giddy. One of them just giggled into the commercials.

Oh, now they're making fun of us saying "Well there won't be a win for Dallas today, cause it's already tomorrow there!"
Oh! I am so happy to have people to watch hockey with! (Don't worry, you baseballers, you'll get your revenge on me yet!)
Okay, I tuned in. They're all giddy! Bwah.
Anyway, hee, Maria! I remember that game! The SO & I had a "Let's introduce people to hockey! party." Heheheeheheh. Was that the worst idea ever! Our last guest was our pastor, who was having a great time just being social and hanging out. He's from Pittsburgh, so he's with us for hockey, and he & I have a (deeply loving) viciously competitive rivalry going on for football.
Anyway, he finally gave up between the third and fourth intermissions. We watched the whole thing, edge of our seats. I thought I'd never have any more adrenalin left in my body, ever. I was still pretty new to the sport then, so I had never seen anything like that! The next morning we called him to let him know it was a good decision to give up.
I was introduced to hockey when I was training as a waitress here in Dallas and a guy tipped me 4 behind the glass tickets with parking passes to a Stars game. I showed them to my boss and he sent me and 2 other staff people home (one was a hockey fan, the other helped train me). It was great fun. I watched religiously until the strike.
My sports must have blood or I can't be bothered to care.
Liese, I love that particular game to this day. It got to the point where I seriously contemplated driving out to the Cap Center. They were letting people in for free at the end of the 3d OT.
OMG! I have hockey! The onscreen guide lied. I suppose it actually helps when I turn the TV to the actual channel. @@
Guess who's not going to bed anytime soon?
I keep forgetting to say this: Much settling~ma to Allyson. It will get better.
Yeah, we nearly gave it up at the strike ourselves. But then the SO's team got Crosby. And Malkin. And Staal. We couldn't help it. We got sucked back in.
You totally should have gone! That's awesome. I'll have to tell the SO.
Yeah, VS schedules the games for like, 2 1/2 hours. No way. Playoff hockey, are you kidding me?
Guess who's not going to bed anytime soon?
I'll be here. I'm a sucker for sports. I cannot stop watching a game once I'm rooting for a team. You can tell the players are even getting tired now.
Hey. What happened to the fights?
Yeah, we nearly gave it up at the strike ourselves.
Me three. I had youth hockey to keep me occupied, but then I couldn't help but watch the continuing train wreck that is the Philadelphia Flyers, and Ovechkin came to play for the Caps. (I still say he's more of a complete player than Crosby.)
You totally should have gone!
My DH did. We didn't know each other at the time, but he and his dad drove up, walked in, and grabbed two seats at center ice, halfway up.
I miss ESPN's coverage of hockey. VS has gotten much better this year, but it's not the same. I need my regular dose of Barry Melrose's oil slick and I miss John Buccigross on my screen.
My sports must have blood or I can't be bothered to care.
LOVE. DJ, may I tag?
Absolutely.
Announcer just called one of us "Fresh as a daisy." It is to laugh.
