It'd be hyperbole to say it changed my life, but it did kind of push me in a particular emotional direction that's not unhealthy. So maybe it's not entirely hyperbole.

New job sucked the life from me, today. Trying so hard to figure out what my place is. Though, I did buy myself a vase full of pink tulips for my desk and my pink checkered file folders came in today so I got started on my filing system.
Other than that, I'm paranoid that they'll realize how useless I am. It'll go away once I figure out what's going on and what I can force people to give up from their To-Do Lists (people are so wacky about giving up ridic tasks that cause them to be overwhelmed).
But my work station is a big wraparound desk with these awesome file cabinets that have cushions on top so you can also sit on them like a bench. There's a big window behind me, and unlike JPL, I can actually open the windows.
I have to print out some pics of Grace and Noah to go up on my picture collage.
Ordered my business cards, went grocery shopping to stock the freezer with Lean Cuisines.
Still fielding calls from JPL about various crap.

Shit's all sorts of different now.
The first few weeks at a new job are the absolute worst. I hate that feeling of, "I suck and they were just blind to it and they'll find out I suck and fire me and then everything goes to shit and and and..."
