Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Got up early this morning. The house is still a disaster zone and I need to sort through clothing to make it better. Which means I need to figure out what my ever changing body is really doing which is no fun.

ita, if you ahve wine colored cushions, and I think you do, I'll take those!

Now tagless for your comfort.

msbelle, Here's a comprehensive blog list of Gore's testimony coverage. I hope someone's got the transcripts. It's got it on YouTube, too.

Here's a searchable database for congressional hearings.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm sad, but there's no way I can de-dust as many cushions as I own on a usefully regular basis.

There's a tannin-based spray [link] that kills dust mites, and it doesn't seem to stain.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Dammit. It looks like Dana & I are sleep issue twins and Matt & I are cold twins. Could the rest of you stay happy and healthy today so I can get some rest?

This evening I go out to the land with our foundation guy, and I'm sure to be completely incoherent and ask things like, so can you dig a hole here?

Feel better!

Thanks. I thought I did, but my temp is back in the 101 range. Meh. I don't feel as achey, but, LORD, I do not feel good.

Random sickness is really of the ugh, especially on a Wednesday.

Eh, I'd rather be sick in the middle of the week than during the weekend, that's for sure. Much as if the temprature is only going to break in to the mid-30s to low 40s, I'd SOOOOO much rather have snow than rain (or "wintery FUCKING mix"). He says eyeing the MA forecast for the next week and throwing up in his mouth a little.

What is even happening?

Frank, why do you keep heating up your body with lots of covers and hot showers? You need to cool it down. Take something (if you haven't already), drink a lot, dress lightly and loosely, and if you're terribly chilled cover up with a sheet. No bundling up. t mother

(sorry -- doesn't close -- tried to not post anything earlier, thought I succeeded when your fever went down, but now not so much)

So it will burn out whatever nasty little bug is trying to kill me.

You need to cool it down. Take something (if you haven't already), drink a lot, dress lightly and loosely, and if you're terribly chilled cover up with a sheet. No bundling up.

See, what my PCP told me once upon a time is that taking ibuprofen/aspirin is all well and good for the aches and pains, but it won't kill the underlying critter, which is why my body is heating up in the first place. The more I can help it out by bundling up and raising the temprature externally, the sooner the varmint is dead (and I speak from years of experience in piling on covers and sweating out fevers - I rarely am sick for more than a day or two the way I've been doing things, wheras most people I know seem to get their various icks for days to weeks on end).

But I do appreciate the concern.
