Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's either maturity or boredom!

Heh. I was awfully in love with drama at that age. It was exciting!

I'm mostly over exciting.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hee. I'm still sorry I missed that coyote.

ION, peer pressure is bad, m'kay? I myself succumbed to the insanity that has overtaken our graphics department and took the stairs leaving work.

We're on the 47th floor.

I think my thigh muscles will stop quivering by tomorrow. Probably.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh god, that reminds me of a hilarious thing that happened over the weekend. L was arriving at the house Friday evening, and called when she should have been there already. She had pulled over to take a picture of something pretty, and her car got stuck in the sand.... Four houses away from where we were. By the time we got over there, some guy from the Navy base in an enormous truck was waiting to help her get out, but he kept asking us for chains or ropes. Needless to say, we didn't have any chains or ropes handy, but C dug up some nylon straps, which actually worked, miraculously. Anyway, after it was all said and done, the Navy guy kept saying "Man, that was some good action! Not like bad drama, good action!" We figure his massive truck with custom tires never actually made it off-road.

That's hilarious, Jesse. That probably totally justified his truck to him, if he had any second thoughts.

And thank goodness for it, really. Although really thank goodness for C, who talked the guy down from tying the straps to the grill of the rental car. And didn't get overly annoyed when the guy talked to him like he'd never driven a car before. C worked for Ford for years.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Is anyone else watching House?

Is anyone else watching House and howling with glee?

D'oh! Thank goodness for Tivo. That rerun last night threw me off.

You know, when I'm in the middle of a yawn, I don't need MK to plant his paw on my tongue in a bid for attention. YICK.
